Even if Lio Convoy's beast mode is a bit lacking his bot mode looks so good I'm probably gonna end up picking him up either way.  

 

So the guy that a lot of people want is shortpacked again. It’s times like this I’m thankful I decided to skip him.

While short packed, most stores order at least two cases so there are chances we’ll see places with two Tarn figures.

I don't know which is worse: having empty shelves, or full aisles of last year's shelfwarmers.

 

I think empty is better for the idea that it means new stuff is on the way to fill them instead of being backed up by old stuff

 

Look, objectively, if you have to split a case 2/1 between a bad guy exclusively from a comic book series half a decade ago and Optimus Prime (But A Lion), you double up your Optimus Primes.

Same. He’d look REALLY good next to my TFCC 2015 Lio Convoy as an “Evolution” (no pun intended) deal like I have with POTP Rodimus and SS86 Hot Rod

 

This is interesting.I\'m guessing these will only be at select stores? I just was at one of my local Targets tonight. Their reset only had Earthspark and Buzzworthy toys which had a fair amountof product, but no pegs or shelf tags for Generations (SS or Legacy) at all...what used to be 4 feet of TF was cut in half with DC and GI Joe encroaching.

Oh empty shelves in a heartbeat. Yeah, it’s utterly heartbreaking to walk into your local Walmart/target and see that, but full shelves with last year’s figures means that even IF the new stuff happened to be in back, it’s not coming out anytime soon until 45 mother-effin Coronation Starscreams happen to sell.

I’ll also accept the saddening disappointment of empty shelves over the false hope you get in your soul seeing a boatload of figures in your shelf, only to look through every rack and only find 10-month old garbage lol.

 

Yeesh… I know Tarn doesn’t have any real bright, sunshiny colors on him, but WOW does he camouflage well in that box…

 

It seems like people are not letting Tarn stand on his own two feet as a character by always saying "IDW Comics" when they mention him.
It's kinda like people complaining about Kingdom Beast Characters not being Beast Wars enough for them.

But I guess it doesn't much matter, I just think that for someone who'd not read the comics Tarn is in a superficial sense "new". But heck one could even say that about Lio Prime if you really really stretch the point, as I doubt most people who buy him have ever seen Beast Wars 2nd, any more than most people who end up owning Tarn will have ever have seen a comic he's in.

Some might even only recognise the design from Transformers Cyberverse, I certainly was wondering about if to treat the design as a generic warrior body, especially with a bulkier 3rd party choice existing that seem better suited to the named individual and these skinny ones seem much better as Generics, as it is really very similar to the Cyberverse one too.

I do worry a little bit about how I am going to react to the Bludgeon Repaint (slight remould), as on one level being so thin fits the skeleton vibe and on another level i'm just not sure, he's a lot thinner than a lot of other similar designs.

Maybe if he has really good colours and a really cool head and comes with a sword it might work out.

I wonder if they might do a Blastwave repaint too, that is just the sort of thing they could sneakily put into Buzzworthy Bumblebee, maybe with Flash Lio Convoy (Flash Leo Prime).

I just hope that when they do a repaint of Black Leo Prime this time they actually do him in the proper show colours of silver-grey skin and a Black Mane as the toys are always backwards, and it would be nice to have at least one be the correct colour.... but if they don't then I'd add that one to the alt-deco Buzzworthy Bumblebee list too.

 

The Leo prime head would look amazing on tarn. Like a universe ultimate battle gilthor or something
