This is my review for Transformers Legacy Leader Class Dragon Megatron.

I must say, the Dragon mode is awesome. Very good sculpt. I honestly like the Dragon mode better than the robot mode. While doing the review, I didn't notice there was a piece in the Dragon neck that could possibly hide the kibble around his neck. I'll have to Transform it again and post pics later. Wings open up and Dragon neck and tail are moveable, but a little stiff.

Accessories are only the Fire blast effect that can peg into the mouth. One thing to note is the mouth does not close all the way.

To make this Reptile themed, here are size comparisons with Kingdom Megatron, Dinobot and Terrorsaur.

Robot mode, pretty good. Not sure if it makes sense for Megatron to have razor sharp teeth. Again, I like the Dragon mode better. Unlike TRex Megatron, the hip transformation is much looser for the Dragon Megatron. One thing I don't like is the backpack where part of the Dragon chest is showing.

Comparison with the Reptile Beasts in robot mode.

I highly recommend this figure. Me of course being a big Dragon fan. Big problems are just the visible kibble like the backpack and the design of the robot mode head. I give this figure a 9 out of 10. Any questions or requests, feel free to ask (But only if I have the time and the figures).

I may be wrong, but I think as far as the headsculpt/robot mode face is concerned, I believe they were going for original toy-accuracy with that (minus the eyes on Legacy being purple instead of green)

Yeah, I'd imagine that's what they were going for. No version of the original TMII Megatron had those pointy shark teeth though, right? That's what's throwing me more than anything else.

The problem is even the original looks more accurate to the animated series.

This was always going to be a hard sell for me, but the headsculpt just doesn't look on point at all, and this is particularly noticeable when most of the recent BW figures have had next-to-perfect headsculpts.

Looks fantastic (sans head and neck)-- passing him for now since I've got MP Skids, Getsuei to attend to.

Actually from what I can tell looking at other pics, the original DOES have the pointy teeth, it’s just the lighting in the pic above as well as the mouth not being colored in make it difficult to tell there

EDIT: Here’s a better look at the face (copy/pasted from Seibertron) confirming it.

I keep going back and forth on this, but that neck joint is a total deal-breaker. Even with something to cover up the fist and tiny hinge joint, it just looks bad. The one pic from the side proves it.

For me it's the pointless fake chest for the dragon just hanging off the back of the robot. Like, why does it have faux-dragon claws on it like the robot chest...when the real dragon claws are deployed on the dragon's arms? That said, I really like the face, and maybe because I was more familiar with the original toy than the show, immediately got the reference.

I want a Beast Machines remold of this with wrap around wings, remolded beast and robot heads or a removable control harness, but that ain’t happening. I’ll settle for this version.

Huh, he does have some pointy chompers after all. I've never actually handled the toy, and I guess the white paint tricked my eyes into thinking he had 'normal' teeth.
