I don't get these comments about anything in a SS release. Slavishly accurate to what was on screen is the expressed point of the entire line.
Of all the Junkions not named Wreck-Gar, Scraphook is the clear favorite for me, though I want them all.
He's obviously *A* Junkion though and I'd think it very unlikely they'd do three deluxe with the gimmick and one without. Besides I'm going to take a lot of convincing the deluxes and Voyager aren't a combiner having had Scraphook in hand an seeing how good a leg he makes I could see Detritus being a retool of this actually....
So the four deluxe Junkions are a truck, motorcycle, car, and jeep. Is there any clue what the voyager will be? Maybe a bus or garbage truck. They said Mad Max was an inspiration. I really hope that they don't do another Wreck-Gar, and stick to flushing out a Junkion team.
Detritus was a repaint of Hound and there's an Earth Mode Hound coming out soon. They're not going pass up the opportunity to do him with the correct mold. They're not going to make him out of a mold that doesn't match him and he's normally not even an Autobot anyway so he wouldn't be in an Autobot Junkion combiner.
I do believe that like Scraphook, he doesn't need to be disassembled to transform. And one quick skim through the video confirms it. You don't need to tear him to bits.
What's wrong with Wreck-Gar? He's got a great action figure feel like SS Hot Rod does even without considering he can transform into another toy.
Yeah, my money is on Detritus keeping to the code of the weaponizer gimmick. He doesn’t “have” to be Hound’s sloppy seconds. Im really hoping for a mad max style Jeep on steroids wearing some huge tires, myself. Detritus COULD be that muscle car for all we know. I mean, Elita/Minerva are basically knockoffs of a ‘70s kit car and Crankcase is now a ford festiva set up for Gambler 500… Scrappy does make for a good leg, but there’s no real interface with a torso. If there’s junkion combiner, Im thinking it will do a Menasor and break out of the torso with 4 limb extensions mold and go for something like how the fossilizers could be reassembled as a bigger robot. Hell…why not a combined form that’s not humanoid? Guess we’ll find out eventually.
He's not listed as one and is one of the only repaint options for Earth Hound. He's also evil so him being part of a combiner gimmick makes no sense. Add to that the fact that the only version of the character to exist is a Hound repaint and it seems pretty clear.
He's basically weaponizer, but better. He can separate into various chunks, but he doesn't need to be disassembled to transform. Think SS86 Kup
