Whoever is designing the legacy junkions, prowl, and Skyquake, they should be in charge of all future designs

    Just saw the Junkion pics.

He looks cool as well, but I'm honestly surprised that they put out two cycles in a single wave.

Honestly I still think the TFP figures from Legacy are mostly serviceable, the one that I think is the weakest is probably Bulkhead but I think the rest that we've seen are perfectly fine.

I'm going to be on the opposite side of the panel and say I don't care for the Leno chin, and I'd rather he didn't have as much as he does on the Legacy version. But still, seeing them side-by-side, it's not the worst chin I've seen.

Overall, he looks cool. If I find him on discount, I'll likely pick him up.

FANTASTIC looking Prowl! They did that head sculpt right. Animated had that edgy, Cartoon Channel look which was always going to be hard to replicate in a toy that fits in with the rest of the line.

But they did it. It looks perfectly G1 while keeping the character of the original. And I say perfectly G1 in the way that TFA itself was a lot of loving homages to G1 highlights. This goes back the other way and keeps the character in the face that TFA had without the edgy-to-the-point-of-distraction curves of the cartoon.

I… don't really like motorcycle Transformers for my shelf. As I keep them all in a head canon where they are in scale with one another without "mass shifting." But this is going to be a hit, regardless.

I would love all of the TFA Decepticons redone in this style.

Despite the different aesthetics, HasTak really nailed this one. They even managed to do the same vehicle kibble distribution too (like the tires being inside the legs, the arms forming the back of the bike, etc) Makes me hyped to see the rest of the Animated cast.

On the other hand, WE’RE FINALLY GETTING ANIMATED TOYS. AFTER WAITING FOR OVER A DECADE IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING.

Well this is a weird one. Why bother remaking Prowl and giving him basically G1 Prowl\'s head? It\'s nice, sure, but I am fine with the original since he is super poseable already. Unlike TF Prime, a show I did not care about much, Animated is one of my favourites, so if I want new toys of the characters, they should be MORE show-accurate, not less.
New Junkion looks great, love the mismatched legs - reminds me of the RvtS Wreck-Gar. Cool WH40K style bolter-pistol weapons too!

The body is fine, except for the "biker cop pants" look of the legs. But the head... he looks nothing like Animated Prowl. They tried giving him a bit of a long chin, but they did it by moving his mouth upwards. His head looks more like a black helmeted G1 Prowl, really.
I am sorry but unlike animation accuracy with G1 toys, this is quite a huge difference. Even if Earthrise Ironhide was not 100% animation accurate, his chest, head, alt mode looked mostly the same. Here, the character's face is completely different. Boggles the mind why.

Technically every figure is molded with an alternate head... Just look at Galaxy Shuttle from Astrotrain... It's just a matter of whom that head belongs to and if they decide to release it.

Inb4 someone says “Just buy the original toys then” as if they aren’t ridiculously expensive in the after market.

The Animated figures not being show accurate isn’t a surprise. It’s definitely a slight disappointment but not a surprise. I’d argue they actually did a pretty good job here. Going off of this figure, I truly think the Legacy Animated figures bode well.

Not a big fan of Prowl head but other than that I love it. I'm super excited to get animated done in legacy. Still not the biggest fan of the unified aestheic but at this point oh well, Skyquake looks good and so far animated looks promising. I may end up using legacy bulkhead as an animated stand in since he still doest look like the prime one to me.

FANTASTIC work. Absolutely fantastic. This is what I imagined as a kid when I imagined a "Normal Style" TFA Prowl. The fact they gave him a longer chin than usual G1 guys is pure glee for me.
It seems that whining about Bulkhead has lead to Hasbro truly putting effort on these redesigns. I love it.

    Junkion is cool too.
