Was gonna say Prowl is pretty much spot-on aside from the head, but even that doesn't seem too far off.

And he's got the ninja stars too? And clear plastic inserts, as opposed to molding the whole arm in clear and then painting over it? Looks like this guy will be the first modern Deluxe that's truly worth the $24.99 asking price.

Objectively wrong. The orignal is good, but it can't hold standard 5mm accessories. And it doesn't have full ankle tilt like this one does. Both are going to be great in their own right.

I'm actually, legitimately, very impressed by both of these. Looks like Evolution will keep hitting it out of the park.

 

That looks like it can fold down as a butt-flap.

Even if it can't, that's still leagues better than Legacy Arcee's backpack.  

 

First unfiltered thoughts on Prowl:
-Huge Nostalgia hit. This was the Transformers toy/character of my childhood
-They simply kept the transformation. Animated toys were just that good.
-I like the blocky Legacy redesign, but I keep thinking this may just feel worse next to the original now that I tightened up the hips. Plastic quality and gaps and all that....

I hope we get animated wreckgar, and slipstream soon. I love how they destylized the characters as im not a big of of stylized toys. I know loads of folks loved em and thats cool but i like normal preportioned stuff.

I feel he works better as his own voyager class if you want the main gimmick intact. I mean we already got a bunch of Voyagers in Deluxe scale as is.

Holy cow Prowl looks amazing and way better than I expected! And that junkion is just amazing! Glad they’re making their own junkions seeing as all the G1 junkions are basically just recolors.

 

Wow. Animated was my childhood, and i think Prowl ends up amazing, they change the design, no less, but it\'s cool that they kept the animated aesthethic there, unliked unfortunately, the TFP figures.

 

The difference there (and I think Prime Arcee came out fine if a bit on the generic side, mostly thinking of Bulkhead) is that they completely reinvented him instead of remaking him in the Generations style. Aside from the (overly stylized) head and colors, there’s nothing really bulkhead about Bulkhead. Different body shape, differ alt mode, few design cues. He looks as much like a green Optimus Prime as he does Bulkhead. Knockout fared a little better, but suffers from being a remold of an ill-fitting base mold.

Prowl is pretty decent, certainly could have been better.
That junkion bike is just fab though, not as cool as Scraphook but still very good.
Those massive blocks passing as weapons are lending a lot of credence to the secret combiner team theory also.
