Are the joints loose? Love Scraphook but the loose elbows are annoying. Does this one have this issue? It may be the difference between me buying it or not

So is there a "proper" way to set up Tarn's Double-fusion cannon? The way the instructions imply keeps getting stuck against his shoulder tread.

I know fixing a figure out of the box is never desirable, but @Broken Forge has discovered the cure for what many dislike about the Skyquake torso transformation:

Prowl and Skyquake arrived. Skyquake gave me a little scare since there was a rattling in the box, but it was just one of the fins that had fallen off. Stuck it back on, no big deal.
Didn't have time to really mess with them since it was over my lunch break, but I did pop open Prowl and... He's really good. Good quality, joints are nice and tight and he just looks cool. It's Animated Prowl but also not, and I like that. It really gives me vibes of the Classics/Universe days where figures weren't always accurate to the source material. It's nice to have accuracy, but I also dig redesigns like this.
Can't wait to get home and transform him!

Which Starscream is the most Geewun Starscream that isn't actually G1 (reissue) Starscream? I only ask because it struck me when I bought the Walmart G1 reissue Starscream, it was ER Starscream depicted on the box. It sure ain't Legacy Starscream, but that's okay because he actually looks cooler than the original or the Generations version, IMHO. Not requiring a Minicon to activate his weapons feature helps. Go figure.

If you swap the entire waist section from Skids to Crosscut, he'll be more accurate.

Looks like that would take popping some pins in places I'm not entirely comfortable with due to their locations, but I appreciate the looking out!

I don't have him out at the moment, but doesn't the waist pop out from the torso?

The plastic feels like Fall of Cyberton quality.... Just in time for their best lineup of figures in almost a decade. Such a shame.

The mushroom peg for the waist is buried in the hinged part that compacts up into the chest to transform to car mode, and it pin to pop to get that part freed from what I saw. I could be wrong, but I didn't see any easy way to do it. And I got all excited by your comment :lol

EDIT: It's just the one pin to free the lower torso from the upper, but I still don't want to try it. But like I said, I appreciate the looking out!

EDIT 2: OK, so NO pin removal is required, you can expose the mushroom peg by shifting that part up into the chest like you're going to car mode, but the exposed side is in an awkward place and I'll be damned if I can get the thing to budge. Plus in order to get any kind of leverage it pushes against the roof part and I don't want to break it. I'll have to keep trying though, I've got a new project!

Yeah while some parts of Lio feel okay, others like his main and the armature on his back feel kinda flimsy, and Hot Shot feels super thin and light like FoC/AoE toys. Not a good sign...

He's a cool looking figure. I'm glad they figured out how to do modulators that can actually transform. The only thing I dislike about the mold is the elbows. I think they should have pinned them or something. Mine snap off real easy.

Also I like putting his spiked extra tire and his exhaust pipes on my Deepcover figures to try to make them look more like G2 Sideswipe. Need another extra tire lol. Works pretty good I think.
