Cool! I'm only buying 3 from this wave but I still like those more than the 3 I've preordered from Evo wave 1 (Needlenose, Scraphook and Breakdown).
I still lowkey think we can get a good Ironfist out of this mold via an extensive retool of Crankcase. Crankcase already has the backpack with the wings, and I'd say the proportions are pretty much there too. Only thing they'd have to really do (outside of a new head) is reshell the alt mode & give him his giant turret They could probably reengineer the legs to make him even more accurate too.
Honestly we are gonna be getting all the Insections before we finish the Dinobots. We will have the main 3 by the end of this year.
I really wonder how Hasbro will do a new Venom. Bombshell to Barrage, Skrapnel (Shrapnel) to Chop Shop, Kickback to Ransack all match up in alt-mode, though oddly, Hasbro's backup plan back during Thrilling 30 was Bombshell into Venin (Venom).
There's a third party Ironfist that basically did this in reverse. They retooled and sold as Crankcase.
My nitpick of the Crosscut head getting used more than the other two alt heads aside, I adore this guy\'s colors! Especially the tires!
Somehow this looks better than skids. That sliver is amazing, I almost like it more than the IDW version.
I think the red tires were a deliberate design choice and it sorta does, sorta doesn’t work. The front wheels use that pin design and it hurts the red color more then the rear wheel design.
I remember seeing that, tho I like to forget about that Ironfist. Way too many issues for such a simple little figure.
Finally i thought they were never going to make this since medix and burnout got released. Shame about the wheels though.
That's unfortunate. I wasn't likely to get one regardless, but I really hope they find some way to fix the all red wheels for the folks who do want it.
