Yeah, he looks good, but not so sure it’s good enough to replace CW Shockwave. He has better coloring & waist rotation, sure… but a goofy hand, a silly pizza radar, no foot articulation, and loses the clear purple plastic bits (which I for one actually like on the CW version). Nice for those who missed out on him back then tho I suppose

Why does Hasbro think we want tiny Shockwaves? Combiner Wars, DOTM Cyberverse, Studio Series BB, and now this. Aside from transforming into a little space-gun, which only one of those toys does, what about Shockwave suggests he's the right character for shrinky-dinking?

OK DOTM Shockwave was actually really fucking cool tho, and SS BB is accurate to the actual scale

The radar dish is pretty neat.

That's literally the only thing I have to say about this. Doesn't look bad, just very lackluster. At least with this wave of core classes that'll be a whole deluxe's worth of saved money.

 

I think so too. The 'claw' remains attached to the dish in vehicle mode, when it would be somewhere else if it was part of the arm.

Just hope the radar dish is removable and you can adjust the claw hand to make it into a trigger. Considering how averse HasTak is to selling eve space guns now, wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the approach they took, ala TR Sixshot and Siege Shockwave.

There have been elaborate fake leaks in the past; so it’s just a preemptive measure, especially considering that there’s basis for Shockwave being leaked.

Does not seem like it can do anything better articulation-wise than the CW Shockwave, though.

You just showed he is the same height as Soundwave. Meaning he should have been a Voyager, like that toy. Not a Core.

You seem to have missed the memo about the purpose of Core class.
Other than making toys of really small characters like Spike or Ravage, its purpose is to have smaller Legends/Legion class versions of the toys you can use with the Titans and the various Earthrise and TR bases. Like how the old Legends/Legion class worked.
We already have a perfect Voyager/Leader class G1 style Shockwave from Siege. I dunno why you would need another one.

 

No, there's a tiny fist holding that roulette wheel, the art infers it's gangmoulded with his purple parts though so it's blending in with the fist holding it, it's not a claw hand, it's the unpainted part of the dish/weapon thing.
