G2 all the things. Especially Defensor. Let's GO!

 

I feel like with w1 starting to show up in some form places it’d be good to officially reveal w2. Hoping February brings reveals.

 

Honestly Defensor probably has the most mid deco’s of the G2 combiners. Bring on the Combaticons!

 

G2 superion got some repurpose value, like roft breakaway from slingshot, and maybe stormshot from airraid

 

I already own a set of G2 Combaticons. G2 Defensor has never had a retail release. I want that first.

 

Fair fair. I’m sure G2 redeco’s will come as combiners come. I want the Combaticons first. Though I’d imagine Ruination may be the #1 repaint for them. Defensor is #2 on my list of G1 combiners!

 

I would imagine Metalhawk would be a retool of Armada Starscream.

 

I hope not. I don't believe that will work as well as everyone seems to think it will. Not to mention that will mean we only get three completely new mold voyagers this year which would be unheard of.

 

assuming Metalhawk is a new mold? i wonder what on earth you could retool/repaint out of that... irrc metalhawk was one of the few pretenders with no US version

 

With Leader Tigerhawk i really hope for GS Razorclaw

 

I know folks are hating the idea, but with how likely it is that Bludgeon, a popular character, is going to be a retooled Tarn, I'm betting the less popular Metalhawk is going to be a retooled Armada Starscream.

My fingers are crossed in hopes of being wrong though. Not for me, but for everyone not wanting a retooled Screamer.

 

It's all but guaranteed that Bludgeon is a retool of Tarn since Tarn has details from IDW2.0 Bludgeon on his tooling that aren't part of Tarn's design

 

That's what I'm saying.

Hope for the best for Metalhawk, but Bludgeon from Tarn tells me where Hasbro is gonna go with Hawk.

 

At least Tarn makes sense when compared to IDW 2.0 Bludgeon. Can not say the same for Armada Starscream and any version of Metalhawk.

Well, it's been some time since Hasbro took a mold that wasn't serviceable for a character's design and did it anyway (outside of a store exclusive or fan channel figure). I can't imagine a Metalhawk from Armada Starscream making anyone happy unless it's insanely extensively retooled to the point that it would be almost an all-new figure. Though to be fair to Hasbro, we've seen that before where retooled figures only share the "inner tree" parts of the mold and everything else is different. If Metalhawk truly ends up being a retool of Armada Starscream then that's really my only hope.

Honestly that's the scenario I'm seeing.

That being said, I don't want to see Metalhawk from Starscream either, because if that body is gonna get a major retool, I personally want it to be of the orange Jhiaxus like the Deluxe one from 10 years or so ago.

 

Plus the weird 'ROBO' in the name wouldn't make any sense if it was G2 Wildrider, but would make perfect sense if it's X-Brawn.

 

i wonder if the leader optimus will be the holiday optimus in traditional colors. and pie is good
