I just noticed today as I was going through the boards, reading and looking at beautifully taken pictures, the overwhelming number of pictures taken with the gun in the robots right hand. It got me thinking and upon looking at my own collection, the majority of toys I have are displayed with guns in their right hands. I, like most people, am right handed. So the question presented is: Do you generally display your Transformers with their guns in their right or left hand and does that hand correspond with your own favored side? It was a funny little phenomenon that I happened to realize today and wondered if anyone else noticed or does the same as I do.
Looking at my displayed figures...Sentinel has his sword in his right and shield on his left wrist. The Wheeljacks are both dual wielding. So I suppose ambidextrous or right?
Usually right handed for my figures if it's only one handheld weapon, the sole exception to this being my HFTD Breacher. He came with his clip cannons attached to his left fist, and for some reason I like it on his left instead of his right.
mine are about 50/50. if you are looking at a shelf of mine dead on, the ones on your left will hold in their right, and those on your right will hold in the left. thats how i balance mine.
I try to range it out as best I can, but most end up being right handed But any of the left handed bots are Decepticons, b/c lefties are the devils work!
I put them in whichever hand is shown either on the box or in the toy's movie or cartoon. I don't overthink it. If the character is right handed in the cartoon, he's right handed on my shelf.
Both,Half my toys on display have weapons in the right hand. the other half have weapons in the left hand.
Mostly left, but then again I'm left-handed. Now, some characters tend to be something because they work better that way. Soundwave, for example, is always left-handed because his shoulder missile launcher is on his right and it would be weird having his gun on the same side. All my Swindles also have to be left handed as well. G1 is because his small gun acts as a sight if it's on the left, Alternators is left-handed because his holster is on the left ankle, and RotF is a lefty because the peg fits better. I was very sad that Animated Swindle broke the tradition by being exclusively right-handed.
I think the majority of my weapon-capable TFs can either only hold it in one hand or come with two weapons (or a two-handed weapon). For those with one weapon and two hands, I tend to mix it up every time it comes to arming them, not preferring either hand. I myself am right-handed.
Depends on how I've decided to pose them. Though, of the few that are presently armed, the majority are either righty, dual-wielding, or two-handing their weapons, with Darkscream and Kreon Spinister being the sole lefties.
Schmeh, they're robots... I'd imagine they can pretty much shoot straight with either hand. Except Shockwave, he can't shoot for shit.
Mix of right and left handed. I'm a lefty. For instance, Animated Shadowblade Megatron and WFC Darkside Megatron both have their cannons on their left forearms, while their regular counterparts have them on the right forearm.
