When you have your TFs on display hold weapons, do you put them in the left or right? I'm curious.

Generally right hand, unless putting it in the left hand will save space. I keep my Transformers displayed at an angle, so things like swords (if they can't be holstered) can be rotated in a fashion that lets them go behind the next guy to help save longitudinal space (often times this makes me put it in the left hand). Sword users with guns generally have the guns in the left hand (unless they're switched, if I'm trying to be space efficient), and most sword users, if they're simulating holstering the weapon by their side, will usually be treated as right-handed, and so will hold the sword with their left hand when not "in use".

Sometimes, I'll make them left handed just for aesthetic reasons, like Hardhead or Quake to balance out the cannon over the right shoulder,.

If there's an option to store the weapon away, like with Six Shot and Quickswitch, or TLK Barricade, I usually peg the weapon out of their hands, usually to help save on longitudinal space on the shelf.

I didn't answer your survey cos generally it depends on the display and if any weapons are gonna block any elements of the display off. But also as I only collect G1 and Masterpiece a major factor in how I display is how the character is depicted in its original box art. If the character is left handed then he tends to get displayed with his weapon in his left hand etc.

Genuinely for me depends on the picture and display setting, as the guys above have said. Also sometimes for visual balance I might put the gun in the hand on the opposite side of a shoulder attachment/rocket, especially in the case of G1 cars.

    All the best

I'm left-handed so my TFs tend to be left-handed as well.

Right hand for the most part. That said, I'll switch weapons in and out for display purposes or for the sake of a pose that I think favors one side over the other.

Most of the time I have the weapons being held on the right hand. Though I do have a few individual figures that I always have the weapon being on the left.

Depends on which side of the weapon is hollowed out...

    Left side? Right handed
    Right side? Left handed

I mix it up a lot. I tend to keep melee weapons in the right hand, but guns go all over the place

They are ambidextrous robots so they use whichever hand is convenient.

I'm right handed and thus tended to always put the weapon in the right hand, but lately I've tried to put maybe 1 in 5 figures with a weapon in the left hand just to mix it up. Like others have said, I tend to put the gun in the left hand if the shoulder cannon is on the right, or vice versa. Of course, I wonder if TFs even have right handedness or left handedness like puny fleshlings do.

On whichever the weapon fits best in. Sometimes the hand holes are too small or too big for a weapon. Even the ones they come with.

I'm a lefty, but just by browsing over my currently displayed figures, it appears I almost always make them righties.

Depends on the character. Firefly is a lefty. Alpha Bravo is a righty (when his bloodlust is sedated to such a point that he only carries on me gun). Optimus Prime is usually a righty. I've honestly never given too many other characters that much thought prior to Combiner Wars.

Typically right handed. However, if I really like the character and it's a centerpiece of a display, I'll look at images of that character and make it whaterver seems to be the most common.

I usually mix it up. Most are right handed, but every now and then I'll make someone a lefty. For example, my Masterpiece Autobots are all right handed, except Wheeljack and Ironhide, purely because that was how I was feeling when I posed them. Combiner Wars Menasor and Defensor are right handed, but the others, Superion and Bruticus, are left handed. Various Megatrons I also pose as left handed because his fusion cannon on the right arm gets in the way of other weapons.
