Did OP say that just because his "family"is there or he is referring to all humanity. And "Defend all they can be".I'm just trying to figure out if he still wants to protect all of Earth or just his friends

After his talk with Cade on the way ship, I think Optimus is determined to protect the whole planet.

For "Leave planet Earth alone" I think he meant that by to stop hurting my friends and the humanity. For "defend all they can be" he meant by to defend them if they're good or bad.

I question why he believes the Creators are even bothering with Earth - even Lockdown didn't give a shit about Earth and the Creators only seemed focused on Optimus... so yeah, kind of a pointless and contradictory line from Optimus here...

The Creators will come to Earth for TF5. And Optimus will come for them.

That's the point of their existence in these films. I just hope that after them, comes Primacron and his two offspring.

You didn't get the point. As long the Creators were after Optimus while he was on Earth then Earth and his people, the Autobots and his friends were in danger

the creators, according to lockdown, REALLY don't like species mixing with species.. so, with autobots left on earth to protect the yaegers, i assume the creators still have a big problem with that.. so, who knows if they'd try to stop that again.

also, prime says "this is to my creators, leave earth alone, cause i'm coming for you".

Well from what was said, it sounded like Optimus was saying "I'm not on Earth any longer and I'm coming to you, so don't bother messing that that planet."

I guess you could look at it another way: The Creator's intervention almost allowed humanity to destroy itself by indirectly giving evil humans the necessary tech to do so. So, them hiring Lockdown to come to Earth could be seen as them messing with Earth, even if they didn't intend to.

I have a totally unsupported theory: Lockdown did say the Creators didn't approve of species mixing, and it had upset the balance. I wonder if he was given the Seed to trade with humanity by the Creators, with them knowing that humanity would inevitably wipe themselves off the map.
Now I would have found that interesting.

I think "Leave planet Earth alone" is referring to the fact that Optimus is not on the planet anymore, he stated that "there remains a price on my head", indicating that the creators may still have bounty hunters looking for him. Now that Optimus is not on planet Earth, no one needn't search there.
He could also have indicated his whereabouts attracting hunters to him away from Earth.

"Defend all they can be" suggests Optimus has found trust in humanity again now that Tucci has changed and Attinger, the man responsible for his friends deaths, is dead.

I read the title in Chris Crocker's voice.

I think Optimsu realizes that no matter how much of an asshole humanity is to his race, they didnt' deserve to be dragged in to their war.

Yes... but WHY will they come to Earth? The only thing they were after that was on Earth was Optimus - who is now going into space to find them. Optimus is literally going to give the Creators the meeting they desired. They wanted Optimus back and now he's going back to them.

Actually - this is precisely the reason his statement falls apart. Why tell them to 'leave planet Earth alone' if they will now have no reason to go after Earth anyway? They were only ever after Earth because Optimus was there, if Optimus has left Earth and is going to the Creators then they shouldn't be bothered with Earth. Like telling someone not to buy an Ice Cream if they have no money and instead want Pizza.

The Creators didn't like species mixing - however they only wanted Optimus. No threat in TF;AOE was ever directed against Earth - except when Lockdown got pissed during the final fight and attacked Cade.

If the Creators were only interested in species mixing then Lockdown would have been tasked with wiping out all Transformers on Earth - instead the Creators were only interested in Prime for an unknown reasons.

I suppose this way you quoted does make more sense - but its still a defunct statement in the movie because as soon as Prime meets the Creators or the Creators realise that Optimus is heading to them or the Creators realise Optimus is no longer on Earth - they wouldn't be interested in Earth - as they are still only after Prime.

You do present a good theory about the Creators as a 'guiding light' for humanity in order to drive them towards their own extinction - at which point you could explain they led certain Transformers and items to Earth - such as directing the Allspark to crash on Earth with the hopes it would create a 'second Cybertron' so they could start again after the Autobots & Decepticons ruined the original Cybertron.

Not sure where everyone keeps getting the idea that it 'ONLY works on Organic life' - in which case why would KSI want to use it in a desert and why would the Creators in the opening set it off in a place with very few Organic's. The movie openly contradicts the idea that it 'ONLY works on Organic life' - while a point can be made to say that maybe Organic life being converted creates more Transformium - the Transformium is shown being created from anything it touches.

Thanks to Cade, Optimus now believes in Humanity's potential again. To be more than they can be, and that not every Human on the planet is a backstabbing A-hole.

We know virtually nothing about the creators and what they want... And as we learned in AoE the rules can always change.

Right but until he found them, or they somehow realized he wasn't on Earth, Earth would still be where they'd continue sending bounty hunters. So it'd be best (imo) for him to go ahead and announce that they shouldn't bother with Earth. That way they'll have 0 interest in doing anything with the planet asap.

Especially since they don't appear to care about Earth or humanity- how would he know they wouldn't pull a Lockdown and just start ripping up cities nilly willy looking for him? If they don't care, there's no reason they wouldn't just strip the planet bare, realize he's not there, then *shrug* oh well.

But it's not very clear and all up to how you interpret what he said.

    I like that idea!

You can't say the Creators aren't interested in Earth, we don't know what they're planning or thinking, and I don't see how it would be impossible for them to want more transformium for another army since their last creations obviously fucked up (my theory) and go straight to Earth first. I bet a planet with billions of life provides a hell of a lot more transformium than a empty planet like Mars.

Lockdown's mission was to capture Optimus. There was nothing else to it.
After everything else lockdown said about species mixing and all of that, chances are the Creators will be setting their sights on earth. It just wasn't lockdown's mission.
