I know that both RID2001 and Armada might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I don't really get why should anyone be against series they don't like having new, updated figures? There are people who surely loved it as their "G1" and would want to have new, up-to-date figures of their favorite character without needing to go for Ebay.

I'm not exactly the most die-hard Beast Wars fan, but that doesn't change that Beast Wars is the "G1" some fans grew up with and for better or worse, I think everyone deserves to see "their G1" get some of the spotlights, and I do enjoy seeing how happy some of the fans of that series are with the Kingdom Beast War figures.

I want my G1 guys but I champion other series getting their due as well, those fans deserve their affordable updates just as much as we do. Plus, it saves me money! Win-win.

 

They could, but Mirage was named Dino in the movie after the son of the founder of Ferrari, which wouldn't make much sense if he didn't turn into a Ferrari.

 

I mean, kinda. But it's a Red Mirage, named after another Red Mirage that was also named Dino. There have been Transformers names with worse logic to them than this.

I’d like to see Crasher get her own mold - and not just be another re-use of Mirage. Her original toy is kinda iconic in its own right, and doesn’t really follow other transformation patterns.

I’m excited for a new Cosmos though.

(But where is Tailgate - so I can get a stylish repaint as Wipe-Out?)

 

To be fair, there are Ferrari F1 cars so Dino could easily still be a Ferrari and a repaint/remould of Mirage.

 

I guess, but it's weird to think about if you know why he was called Dino in the first place. Maybe they could name him "Dyno" or something instead. Anyways, I also think he should be called Dino as a reference, but I was just explaining why they might not go with that.

 

Funniest/dumbest part of that post is that from 2001-2006, G1 got Commemorative Series, Universe 03, Alternators, and 20th anniversary stuff (Which includes MP-1), to say nothing of Classics. So while not the focus of the brand, G1 was seeing infinitely more love under 01-UT reign than any of those franchises do currently, and yet the dude acts like Armada killed it dead or something.

 

It feels weird that Ratchet is a core class in the SS86 line. I just hope he transforms into an earthmode van, because it's hard to get the Earthrise Ratchet set for me. If they retool it into Ironhide, would be awesome too.

Optimus, Starscream, Megatron, and Soundwave show that Core Class doesn't necessarily supplant properly scaled options of the characters.

 

Those were in the Generation WFC trilogy line, I meant for the SS line where scale is meant to be accurate as possible. But yes, I agree with that

 

Fracture/Crasher should be a Mirage repaint, since that’s what the original Transformer Fracture/Crasher was. Even if they wanted to, they can’t use the original designs.

 

To add to your ideas, Leader-1 should be a white CW Air Raid with the Slingshot head. In fact, a set of 4 Guardians using CW molds would awesome, with a CW torso bot redone as Courageous (probably Silverbolt).

I'm not seeing it. Not that Mirage looks all that much like a classic Crasher, either, but there's precedent for it at least. Heck , I thought the Classics mold fit Crasher better than Mirage!

New molds would be the best option, though they'd have to be careful not to make the figures too close to the originals. Hasbro owns the characters, but not the toy designs. I'd prefer Deluxe class, so they can interact with Cybertronians properly.
