Doubling back to note that the little engine on the back is from SIEGE Mirage. Jack Lawrence must have used reference for Kingdom Mirage for everything until it came time to draw Leadfoot's backside, at which point he borrowed reference from Siege Mirage to finish what parts he couldn't see from the front.

I guess it's possible Lawrence has images of a Lightfoot toy using Kingdom Mirage, but not from the back, and so he filled in with another similar toy.

I mean I dont mean to throw shade at the whole concept, but I do have to wonder if we would get an actual accurate g1 Arcee or really any other fembot (maybe besides Minerva) considering that most of them turn into pretty bulky vehicles while keeping a slim robot mode. That's why I feel Airrazor and Blackarachnia (realistically any other fembot post g1) get away with being overall better figures, since the organic beast modes lend themselves better to looking sleeker with no compromise. That being said looking between the two I do like the Earthrise mold more for being better looking in robot mode but it definitely feels very compromised, what with the back cavity and basically just folding under the car mode. Never seen T30 up close but I imagine it poses worse, and looks like a bulkier backpack, but maybe with a better car mode.

Also its not that horny to have a molded stomach guys come on

And this is why we can't have nice things. (Not you guys, you're great, but 3P. :)  ) The ongoing consolidation of all manufacturers into a cartoon inspired aesthetic holds no appeal to me. I can get those figures for a quarter to half of what a 3P will charge from Hasbro.
What I can't get is the one thing I've still been collecting from MMC, the Reformatted style figures. (I also am going to be unable to get Hasbro figures in anything but G1 and BW as well, so all things in balance, you know. :p  )
Probably better for the wallet anyway. If I can't find, say MTMTE Skids, and my options are Legacy or MP Skids, I might as well save $100.

I never saw the stomach as being that bad (no more sexualized than her design already is), but she does also have what could be interpreted as a butt crack. It's obviously not normally visible so it doesn't ruin the figure for me or anything but it's a bit weird.

I...guess the crime is she's made to emulate what real human women can look like? I... don't know. I'm so confused by this entire conversation/thing.

Yeah, I... Uh... The whole thing is basically this in a nutshell:

Just the mention of Nicee and knowing she exists more or less makes this entire discussion a moot point. They don't even compare. One's...a normal human-esque figure, the other's a stripperbot.

I'm still just so confused why this is a thing at all. I mean, she's been available as a toy since what? 2013? 2014? And this is being discussed now? I just... Are we that desperate for stuff to talk about right now?

    Again, I'll use this:

The stomach on the T30 always came across to me as incongruous with the whole robot thing but G1 Arcee's design generally is so I just brush it off. Do prefer the slimmer more robotic aesthetic and added articulation of the Earthrise one over it which is unfortunate because the T30 has a much better transformation, weapon storage, and range of movement in the head. If they could manage to integrate that transformation with the lean (relatively) boxy look and better articulation of the ER mold, we'd have a keeper.

Here's another little something to talk about, the recent Wreckers comic also seems to show Blurr here:

Granted, not very detailed, so we can't really tell if he's based on the old toy or the new one.

I really don't want to re-re-open this can of worms and derail the thread, but if someone opens a separate new thread to discuss this, I'll post my thoughts there.

It’s honestly not as weird as anything else we see on robots…. Like siege megatron’s luscious lips.
