That's not really an example of what I was talking about. You're talking about an artist putting someone in the background and then that background character getting more attention later. I'm talking about how nearly all of the folks in the backgrounds of these shots aren't meant to be anybody.

I just meant to point out that the background characters are just non-essential filler and pointing out that the writer never planned for Strika to be a major character so people should not read too much into the background characters' designs.

No "she" doesn't. Burn Out is a straight Skids repaint, the only thing they might do different for the new figure is give her a more feminine face.

He cameo'd in the latest comic, but there isn't much to suggest there's has something planned for him

Well, in the character's only canon appearance prior to the new Wreckers comic in a FunPub Botcon story Burn-Out was a Diaclone mech piloted by a female human. So not really male or female and it's just fans that have labeled Burn-Out a fembot due to having a female pilot. We don't know yet how Hasbro are going to handle the character.

I hope they do some M.A.S.K. repaints in Legacy.

What, the full lineup for Legacy that we've known about for months now?

And how did we find out about that? Yes it all got out, and now internal codes got out. What use are those to customers? This is just rubbing salt in the wound.

Contrary to reporting on Transformers fan sites, this is not normal. Companies like having a modicum of control over their hype cycle, and don't like when they don't get to control the conversation. Sooner or later, Hasbro's going to start caring that they can't keep their cards close to their chest anymore.

Marvel, Star Wars and GI Joe also get their years normal retail line up revealed too. But they are usually code names, and also seem more likely to get changed.

Feels like it'd be a lot of work to draw all of Kingdom Mirage's toy specific details (like that little engine on the back) if that's not a thing that's actually happening.

It'd be nice if Leadfoot happens, but drawing toys fairly accurately is just what Jack Lawrence does, and so I wouldn't consider it diagnostic of anything. It's only really noteworthy if he's clearly drawing a toy that doesn't exist yet, like with Minerva.

The thing with Leadfoot is the other transplants so far (sideways, override,) were basically using designs from older figures of them. I don't think (?) Getting images of his G2 figure for a reference would have been difficult, so why put him in as a kingdom mirage repaint/new head unless it was for something? Fiction wise Leadfoot was a wrecker in RG1, so it's possible that this could be a set up for him to join in later on so the design/possible figure would be more desirable

I think they probably don’t care. These “leaks” keep us talking about a product for many more months than we would have if we found out through official reveals. For perspective, Tigatron was on shelves and reviewed online before we got an official reveal. These leaks are doing their marketing and hype for free.

I don't think they do either. They could put renders of everything up before anyone ever has a chance to steal one from production.

If they cared, they would have likely put a stop to it long ago. I see it as a way to budget for the future and save up cash for TFs I want. My wallet tends to be more forgiving with fewer surprises popping up.
