If the mold has the truck nose shoulder bits on swivels or something, he'd really only particularly need a new chest and head for at least the core robot to work really well as Clench.

 

That's really almost all you'd need seeing as Clench didn't have a trailer in the traditional sense. Looks like just a shipping crate or something above his back axels.

 

That's it! Now I just need two of those better it's $2 bucks more than $30 more or worse.

I was gonna pay for a Masterpiece 3rd party but I'd rather pay $50 for almost Masterpiece.

 

Yeah, just some remolded parts here and there and positioning the truck bits differently and you could get a good Clench from a Laser Prime.

 

I remember there was a leak that suggested Commanders would be going to 2 a year, and while I dont think its true I would be very happy with that. No shade to the people waiting for Titan-sized bots, but theres just so much more that can be done at the Commander price point that I want to see.

 

Definitely not a million miles away, though the legs would end up to be quite different. But I mean, it is Clench, so that's a compromise I could live with.

As long as he has the colors and head I'd be mostly happy honestly.

 

Yeah...but since his transformation scheme is so unique and interesting I wouldn't be opposed to them giving him his own mold. Hint hint Hasbro, come on if Skids of all fucking characters can get his own mold twice and a masterpiece fucking Clench can too.

Oh don't get me wrong, any character getting their own dedicated mold (unless it's someone like G1 Skywarp) is always the best possible outcome.

I'm just thinking practically. Skids has like, 6-7 redecoes they can get out of that mold in the forms of Skids himself, Crosscut, Reboost, Screech, Quantum Operative (green) Skids, Burnout, and AOE Rollbar. All of which I would absolutely love to get, but for Hasbro, it just makes him a cost effective character to be given a new mold.

But Clench? I love Clench, and would definitely love him to get his own dedicated mold, but who else could the my redeco/retool him into? But to be fair, they haven't redecoed Doubledealer so far. So it is always possible I guess.

Could probably make him an Optimus, they do love their Optimuses after all, or a Cybertronian mode of a Beast Wars character, possibly Megatron? You could also do the cheap Shattered Glass repaint if you really wanted.

 

That might probably end up in Generations Selects as the subline for Legacy: Evolution seems to be the Velocitron themed one (that Cosmos is in).
