Also if they decided to throw on a new Obsidian and Strika I doubt anyone would complain much either-

As someone who wants new Armada figures in Generations again, I've got a "what if" type question for other fans.
I see a lot of interest for an Armada Optimus Prime, with folks posting pictures of that gray proto that was shown at Wonder Fest a couple years back. What would your feelings be if they did release a new Armada OP, but it wasn't the same mold as that gray proto?
I guess the question is more about whether you just want a representation of the character versus specifically wanting that figure of him.

Maaaan. I'd love a new Quickmix. Him and Spinister were my only targetmaster toys as a kid.

    Good memories there.

Jesus Christ people... do a little research. It’s ok to not know everyone, but google is your friend. There’s more to G1 than 1984-1986.

It's not that big a deal but I do find it ironic how they'll blank on characters like Sureshot or Backstreet yet remember the non-name of the dinky Cloverfield Decepticon that appeared for a total of 20 seconds or so in DOTM that most people probably just forget about.

    Different generations, different obscure characters.

Yeh exactly. Not all of us on this page were around during g1. Hell I came into being halfway through UT so of course I ain't gonna know it.

calm down mate, you've been on this thread longer than I've been alive.

I'd love it if they finished the double targetmasters. Needlenose for the decepticons ofc, but also Quickmix and Landfill. Thrilling 30 Scoop have been waiting a looong while for his buddies.

Just a nice reminder that despite our many differences each 'era' of fan tends to have similar through lines.

As someone who has never heard of G1 Quickmix before just now, I would buy a toy of him, but only if Hasbro managed to pull off that mixer barrel becoming part of the torso a bit better than the G1 toy, without faking it. Let's see some creative transformations.

Yeah, I think he was just trying to sound like he's telling an epic tale, which usually are about things that happened in the past.

Yeah, I'm ok with Bayformer fans and UT fans making their case. It's the G1 fan who loves 84-86, and G2 and Beast Wars and everything after, but just dismiss the 87-92 era to the scrapheap that I find hard to understand. It's the era that is fast becoming the most discriminated against!

We've also seen scale thrown out the window with BW the same size as G1.

All they gotta do is keep the JP guys consistent between each other even if they aren't "scale" with the broader G1 stuff.

I know some people say G1 ‘84-‘86 has the ‘classic’ characters, and for the BIG ones of Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream etc that’s true, but for every Astrotrain or Tracks there’s a character who’s just as popular in the ‘87-‘92 bracket like Thunderwing, Nightbeat etc.

In fact I have a hard time believing earlier characters like Windcharger, Outback or Octane are really that much more high profile than say Hosehead, Pointblank or Carnivac.

That’s not to say I don’t think the new Tracks / Inferno etc are bad or unwarranted, I think they look cool, I just want a little more love shown to the ‘87+ G1 crowd as well is all.

Agreed. Landfill was my last transformer as a kid so I'd love to nostalgia buy. Quickmix completes the set, unless Hasbro decides to go Scoop all over again. My concern is that apparently Scoop didn't do so great as I constantly found him on clearance. In fact, iirc, I saw him not too long ago still on clearance at a couple of online retailers. Small sample, but keep in mind he came out seven years ago. If they don't trust Needlenose, will they trust the Autobot Double Targetmasters?
