I just wish the ear pieces on the side of the head were a little wider...

An actual clear-*orange* canopy? I think that's the first seeker to have that since the orignal G1's! (it's still something that irks me--all the MP seekers have lemon-yellow, or smoke-amber canopies---none have the simple rich orange of the G1 seekers)

Perhaps, but many go on the basis that nearly every media depiction shows Jetfire as big, and seekers as not-as-big.

In any case, the race to find (or produce) a cockpit-storable puppy figurine begins.

Looks cool, but I don't really see anything so far that's better than the smaller one. Looks like he just has more weapons that are too big and get in the way...

I like it a lot, but it doesn't look as nice as the sky blue prototype they had at NYCC last year.

So the Combiner Wars line will have different classes of bots? Do the Thundercracker and Megatron combine with one another? Or are they different?

This looks like a slick G1 update. I love it.

"Combiner Wars" is just the subtitle for Generations this year, not all figures have a combining gimmick.

Megatron, Thundercracker, Ultra Magnus and all the Legends not including Blackjack, Rodimus, Groove, Viper and Powerglide aren't part of any official combination.

In my local area I have only seen RID I don't know where in Australia you are but if you get SOME generations you are lucky. The last generations figure I saw was FOC fruiticus.

I've found legends, deluxes and voyagers at three separate targets, Leaders at one with the second having a tag for leaders. They've got 20% off right now too.

Oh goodie.. A remold of a terrible figure for a character that deserves better.

I honestly don't know how someone could be okay with spending $47 for such a hollow cheap looking figure. They can no longer justify the price with electronics, so, I'm not sure how leader class figures can still cost so much.. Especially now that they're FAR more simple and hollow than they used to be.

Oh well.. I guess I can kiss my hopes of a proper voyager set of IDW seekers goodbye.

Jetfire's not any more hollow than any leader class. You can just see his hollowness.

Jetfire is shown to be the same size in the cybertron games (WFC/FOC) so having them the same size in the generations line is fine by me tbh.

If I want accuracy I'll stick with the deluxes or get the 3rd party raptors.

This. To me a jet-former looks so badass as a Leader. When you got a Deluxe car, a Voyager truck, a Leader jet makes so much sense at makes for an awesome scale. At least I think so.

I'm with you. Especially with Leader Megatron, having similarly sized hulking Seekers as a personal guard is going to look sweet as hell.

Having just gotten the smaller Thundercracker I have to agree that this really isn't that much more exciting. I think I'll just be happy enough with my little guy. The Leader figure is nice enough, but I doubt I'd own it unless it was on discount. Not that I really expect to see it for sale here in the UK anyway.

I shall ruin the BayFormers FAB Jazz figure for you then and suggest his robot chest reminds me of an Angry Birds pig.
