If there is one thing keeping me from rebuying this figure, is the fact they seem to have made one of the wheels unable to fall straight to the side of his leg.

    It hangs up a little.

They could've easily made it to where both wheels lay flush against his legs.

40 bucks saved thus far. Waiting for a video review to make final judgment.

I'm not sure anyone should be banking on a Premium version of any of these figures, yet.
The last ones didn't do too well from what I witnessed around here and other towns/cities. Prime sold, even Megatron sold, but the Voyagers didn't do too well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro doesn't go in that direction again. Unless they keep the Premiums for Prime and Megatron only. (I'd hope at this point they've realized it's better just to give us the good shit from the get go.)

He is as good as bought. I liked my 1st movie Prime, but this guy is just so much more accurate and lithe - they don't really compare. I'm big on paint for certain toys and I'd certainly like a tricked out version, but he is plenty good already. I'm slightly leery of getting burned w/ a premium series or the like, but that is my only hesitation regarding this purchase.

The last movie prime was one of my favorites, and this one looks to be better. It's really hard to believe with that small amount of kibble on his back that he forms such a solid truck mode. He also seems larger, or at least taller, then the first movie Prime. Kudos to HasTak.

good god what an amazing mould. so buying this and megs.
paint is a little subpar but then again a good deal of tf toys have suffered from that lately.

I can't wait to see a Radicon bring out the awesome details in this even more.

Hastak....why oh why you torture me so? I was going to say NO to all ROTF toys but it seems I will have to make an exception for Prime.

I think they were trying to make it look more like hip armour like in the movie, where the upper wheels angle toweards the body slightly. That seems to be the whole point of this figure, look as much like the CGI model as physically possible.

It's doing an awesome fucking job.

I'm surprised that two little wheels not sitting properly bother you SO much that it makes you pass on the figure and overlook all the positives.

After reading some posts on here. Can someone explain how the TF1 Leader Prime competes with this one besides the paint apps? Don't get me wrong, I love the first movie prime but I just don't think that it compares to this one at all.

Hmmm. Well, the windows are tinted on it for one.

Also, rubber tires. It's unclear if this guy has rubber tires.

Plastic tires and closed, non-articulated hands (no moving fingers).

Honestly, this figure could benefit tremendously from a Premium treatment. There are a few spots here and there that are the wrong color or need color.

I agree with you on the premium treatment but I would gladly sacrifice articulated hands and rubber tires for a more accturate figure.

I like this mould but agree with countless others with regards to paint apps. Both Prime and Megs seriously lack in paint detail and these will cost $100 each here based off the normal retail of a leader class figure. Never got premiums here from the first movie line, so guess this will have to do. I'll pick both up then learn how to custom paint figues i guess.
In the long run I would be seriously surprised if down the line we dont see movie versions of prime and megs ripped out by takara in the masterpiece line. my :2c:  on the subject.

I may try to take out the blade just so because they spoil it just a little -how they stick out and all. But I love them sooo much! Great toy! ^_^

Overall, I'd say I'm far more impressed with this that the last Leader Prime. This is more movie accurate, and had far more articulation!

At least the blades can kind of fold out of the way in bot-mode. I wish they could be a bit more hidden, but it's better then not having them at all.
