Christmas Accessories for Transformers Holiday Optimus Prime

Just saw these accessories for Holiday Prime on Cults 3D  

 

It was a sad Christmas Eve for my son. Santa brought him a defective Holiday Optimus. I reached out to Hasbro. We’ll see if they can send a replacement.

 

He's also got paint chipped on his belt buckle. Well ain't that a kick in the scrote.

 

That's definitely a bummer. If they can't help you, the toyhax set has an autobot symbol with a Santa hat so that's at least an option.

I'd have preferred the cab parts on the back of the legs be condensed down a bit more but as they're around the back that's not too big of a deal.

 

Received my prime this morning and have had a fun time with it! I really hope we see more action from this mold in the various "hero" colorschemes and a traditional colors version.

Quick Psa for those who have a paint chip on holiday Prime's face, if your ordered from bbts the box usually has a sticker with their logo on it. I used the white part of the sticker and cut it to size to cover the paint chipping. Apologies for no before photo. I didn't even know if this sticker would work.

Edit: dang didn't even notice the chip on the autobot symbol until now. That sucks.

 

Remember that one episode of Beast Wars where they had to bring Optimus Prime back online to save Christmas from Megatron?

Heh. Transmittal 2 Megatron- That's another figure I got recently. I had mixed feelings about buying when I saw the pictures, but that's one figure that looks better physically than in a lot of pictures. He looks really good posed like that in your picture though. His colour scheme fits with Christmas too.

I hope they do a TM Megs too. I think that was my favourite looking robot mode, and the mech t-rex was a nice alternative to Grimlock's. ('Vehicle mode'* with harrier jump jets and roller states was a bit dodgy, but most of the TM vehicle modes were a bit rubbish.)


*I am reluctant to refer to TM vehicle modes as a separate mode, as they were basically just the beast modes with wheels or jets. Loved the gorilla on a hoverboard though. It somehow managed to be both cool and goofy.

Someone design a 3d file of swords like these for him, them print them and paint them like candy canes

 

Inking the trailer has made it look much less boring!

 

The inside looks like a xenomorph hive, meant in the best possible way.

 

Yeah, when I finished, the first thing I thought that was that it looked like some H.R Giger shit as well. 

 

To me the inside looks like a black and white Manga background.

 

It looks better in black and white than it does grey, imo.

 

I think both would look better with a wash other than black.

 

I'm sure someone out there will try that.

 

Got this bad boy for Christmas, and honestly? I like the mold a lot better than ER or even the awesome Laser Prime. The ab crunch is also greatly appreciated on it.

 

I got one for Christmas. I really like this mold. My only real complaint is that i wish they'd done something to make the cab collapse a little in bot mode. Just a couple hinges would have made it perfect.

Having the candy striped penis on the truck bed creeps me out so i mount it on the inside of the trailer

 

Does anyone know if the holiday prime head can fit on the Earthrise mold?
