TF4 will not take place in the future, people. One of the big parts of these films are the cars. The real-life, what-you-see-on-the-road-every-day cars. GM has a big stake in these films, and they aren't gonna build a bunch of futuristic concept cars they have no interest in mass-producing just because Shia says he's done. How many Camaros have they sold? How many of them had the crazy-price Bumblebee package? Yeah.

None of the above. If they keep the Witwicky character they should cast an unknown but bring on a known actor in a supporting role. Yeah, that means more humans.

Oh, and don't be surprised if Shia returns but in a smaller, less involved part.

Now that I think about it, wouldn't it be funny if they cast Rupert Grint or Daniel Radcliffe in a supporting role?

Jesus Christ, NO. I don't want Harry Potter and his pal, Weasely, in a Transformers movie.

    -HP: expelliarmus!
    -*nothing happens*
    -Optimus: my turn.
    -*cocks gun*
    -*crater left on the ground*

Just kidding. I now that wouldn't happen, but if it did, I would seriously :lolol

Adult? Did you not pay attention to the damn timeline of the movies? Right now Sam has to be about 24, give or take a year, because he's already finished college and is on the hunt for a job. Last I checked, you are legally an adult when you turn 18. Which for all intents and purposes, is how old Sam was when ROTF started out.

I seriously doubt cars will have changed that much in, say, 15 years - that wouldn't be much of a jump (of course, my idea of TF4 would be more apocalyptic in nature and would have been more conducive to using "older"/current cars anyway...).

Back on topic, none of those names really draws me. Except maybe Statham, and even then personally I'd probably stick him in a NEST-type role and not the main character (he'd still be too old for the lead, for my purposes anyway).

    HAAAAAAAAAA lawls

well the smart thing to do would be make a new character, sam is disposable. the timeline could even change. holding on to what they've done already would just be a painful process, it's so much easier and more exciting to come up with something new.

i hope the jason staham possibility is the one that sticks, switch the lead from an easily legible, cute, awkward kid to a more mysterious figure (the way we expect the amazing spider man is doing it)
