I was a bit disappointed when ls got split in half.hers why... Wouldn't his spark have shown? Wouldn't more energon have spilled out?
Try to avoid spoiler titles If the spark is like a human heart it might be to one side or the other meaning that a stab/slice might not have revealed the spark. Alternatively Lockdown might not have a spark as not all Transformers need them as proven by the human Transformers and Megatron. When stabbed in the chest he coughed up energon - chances are that they had to trim down the energon/blood or keep it fairly mild to avoid a higher rating.
