It sounds like it's going to be awesome. I'm going to try and at least put thirty-five bucks towards this so I can get the blu-ray. Maybe even fifty bucks if I can, cause a poster would be sweet too.

I hope this becomes a huge success, cause I would love to see what they could do with larger budget projects like this.

 

They've already passed 80% of their goal! Holy shit!

 

I have a feeling their goal will be immensly surpassed, If that means Lazer Team gets a bigger budget, I have no complaints!

 

When I checked it out, it said it was 105% of their goal.

The crowdfunding has ended, and they've gotten 2.4 million dollars. That's absolutely amazing. I unfortunately was not able to participate, but will definitely buy the blu-ray when it comes out, and any other merch they come up with. It'll be interesting to see what all they'll be able to do with such a large budget.

Interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to this. Not that I'm complaining, but the Ghostbusters inspiration is more... obvious than I was expecting. I wonder who all from RT and AH will have cameos in the movie. Jack would make a great dissgruntled scientist.

I recognize the name Alan Ritchson...cool they got him on board.

 

The crowd went nuts for this when the teaser was aired during Let's Play Live yesterday.

I'm pleasantly surprised by it. It's looking pretty good and fairly funny. It feels like they definitely did put a lot of work into it.

 

Wow! RoosterTeeth is really going through with their very own movie? The teaser looks so cool!

 

I'm consistently surprised how, depsite being extremely funny, personable, witty and socially adept in their unscripted stuff like Let's Plays and podcasts, the RT people have a history of their scripted stuff being very stilted, inorganic, and just kind of cringey. This trailer? Kinda looks bad.

Except Michael. He's really good at actually acting and seeming natural. Bickie Ditch. I also dug the giant fake dick they shoved into Gavin's suit crotch.

 

As much as I love their material I have to agree that this trailer, teaser or not, looks pretty bad. For a group who has some pretty damn creative people on their payroll and has some hit shows under their belts I was really surprised to see them go for a plot that's been played out so many times already, the whole alien message, alien crash, everyday folks find alien tech and hijinks ensue.

Hopefully the full trailer coming next month helps improve my initial thoughts.

 

Is it gonna be in theaters? If so yes! this will be awesome!
