I got my Lawson Blackout today. First things first: I had gone with Blackout over the Prime Spychanger as a matter of preference, tho I still wanted it. Well surprise surprise! It came with Blackout anyway! Made my day. It also came with a "Lawson Limited Movie Transformers Pin Set," which is cool, too. Now onto Blackout. For those expecting Blackout to be a Lawson-Bumblebee-esque deco, you're going to be surprised. Blackout is sporting a more weathered look along with a darker hue of blue. Long gone is that clean, plastic-y look from the original voyager release. This one is gritty and has silver scorch/weathering marks. I'm really pleased with it. Scorponok still sports the original shiny deco, but also has some nice black in the lining. Wish I could go into a further description, but I'm going to be late for school. Hmmmmm......... I wonder if Hasbro will release their Premium version in these colours? I kind of hope so, so I don't have to get both versions, but I really do not like that creamy looking colour in Blackouts robot mode. To me it does not go with the realistic weathered look in his alt mode.
the repainted mini-skorponok looks dead on to the deluxe version colors, though maybe just chromed a bit more in the copper sections. well at least people have a alternative for a gritty blackout other than ruining the mainline one with homebrew apps. I never understood why anyone would do that. Or why that commands so much money on ebay.
