Did a round of pics for some figures Hasbro sent through recently. Bit busy lately so these are not new new, and not full galleries. However, figured it could be an excuse for everyone to share what their 2022 favorites were. PICS WELCOME, all kinds.

We'll do the official staff picks as usual later in the month.

They always seem like they hold the awesomeness until the middle to tail end of the line.

Saber aside, Motormaster is one of the best figures this year. The cab bot is an amazing piece of engineering and turning the trailer in to the combiner frame added a ton of play value over previous trailer bots.

I would also put Jhiaxus in contention, mostly because of how out of left field he is as a character choice...but also because they nailed the comic design.

Despite their (minor) flaws, I’ve been really enjoying the Stunticons. A ton of fun in 4 (or 5, come 2023) bots. MM is certainly a great figure, I’m loving Dragstrip and Dead End and Wildrider fits the bill well enough. All of those along with a very playable gestalt. As a big Stunticon fan, this set has been what I’ve wanted for quite a while.
There’s been some other great figures this year for sure but these guys stand out for me.

On another note: Iguanus was a surprise hit in my books. A fun little figure that incorporates the look of the Pretender with a bit of a modern take that gives a fairly well articulated bot and a pretty decent bike mode. I’m looking forward to Bomburst when he arrives now that I’ve had some fun with Iguanus.

For me, I'll send nods to:

Haslab Victory Saber - reminds me of the 'good old days' when TF toys had a bunch of features and things to do. They didn't cost $180 to do it back then, however.

Legacy TM2 Megatron. - Just badass all-around, not a pain to work with unlike his Kingdom predecessor, and just as much, if not more, fun in dragon form than robot.

Legacy BW Inferno - I was initially a little disappointed, but he continued to grow on me, with that big goofy ant mode and that big goofy robot mode, Inferno channels his on-screen self, charmingly insane and insanely charming.

    Legacy Jhiaxus
    - Gets mad respect for being a "OMG they actually went and did it!" accurate representation of G2 Derek Yaniger grumpy-face, but, aside from a lackluster aircraft mode, is a well-designed toy as well.

    Legacy Tarantulus
    - Just a pretty excellent example of how to update a Beast Wars dude for the modern era.

Velocitron Cosmos - A darling squat fireplug of a toy. Did not deserve to become the overhyped rarity that he did.

I'll also give brief honorable mentions to SS86 Sludge and Velocitron Scourge. I might have given them higher marks, but they only became 'acceptable' after I fixed up the leg joints on Sludge, and updated the paint and deco for Scourge.

Some of my favourites in no particular order:

legacy Arcee was great, so happy they're bringing back Prime.

Velocitron Crasher, such great colours and tolerances.

Legacy Blaster, still can't believe how good he is, as well as having Eject packed in too!

Velocitron Override, another character I wasn't expecting, which turned out really well, despite being made with just leftover budget.

86 Sweep, love the brighter colours and the head sculpt is perfect.

Legacy Kickback, has the exact amount of joints needed, and those dark energeon swords are wicked! Can't wait for the other insecticons next year.

legacy Iguanus, easily my favourite core figure ive come across, really nice paint, and the lizard parts have so much detail!

Legacy Skids, fiddly transformation but has some of the best QC I've come across in a long time, also its Skids, what's not to love?

While he wasn't a 2022 figure, I got him on sale this year: Kingdom Rodimus. Absolutely brilliant, one of my favourite characters done really nicely with the commander budget, makes me excited for what they'll do with an armada Optimus at that class....

This has been an amazing year of toys but Legacy Evolution Leo Prime/Lio Convoy is simply perfection.

Fallen, Rumble, Ironhide, Pointblank use SS86 backgrounds.

Hot Rod is a shot from the web of that street they filmed on and a custom road diorama.

Armada Starscream is a pic of some clouds I shot on vacation.

Skullgrin and TM2 megs are using screencaps of games I've played via photo mode.

Dead End is a G1 cartoon background still found somewhere here on TFW2005 a while back.

All displayed via TV behind figures. LED lighting 5 small and two large.

Sony A7 MK I, various lenses, Photoshop and Lightroom for processing.

    Hope that helps :) .

I love that you have all of Starscream's gear but not 86 himself. It's befitting of him as a character.
