    Horizon Forbidden West - 9.5/10
An amazing game through and through. There have been lots of reviews on this game already but its got great gameplay, great story and endearing characters. I wish I had a PS5 to play it on, but still excellent on PS4.

Definitely play Horizon Zero Dawn first before picking this one up though. The story/world building is fantastic so if possible go in blind.

    Luigi mansion 3
    10/10
Probably one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played.
I feel like they intended to make it fun and enjoyable and they succeeded.
Of course there are other 10/10 games with better stories and mechanics. But this one is fun…not in a challenging and frustrating way but in a really enjoyable way.

    Persona 4 Golden 9/10.
This is my first time playing a persona game. A different JRPG and I loved every second of it.

    Uncharted 2 remastered: 6/10

    The good:

Love the voice acting and the story. Just wonderfully well done!

    The "meh"
Graphics were good taking into account that it's an older game.

    The bad:
The play mechanics were terrible. There are three things to do - shooting, climbing and solve puzzles. You have to empty, what feels like, entire magazines just to kill one enemy. Climbing is a joke! You can climb this rock because the game wants you to go that way but not that rock because it doesn't. It's absolutely infuriating. Puzzle solving is okay but it basically boils down to reading the answer in Drakes journal.

    Conclusion:
It's an on the rails shooter that gives you the answers to all the puzzles but it has a great story. Someone should make a movie out of it. No, I mean a good movie out of it!

    The Ascent: 8.5/10

A solid twin stick co-op shooter with RPG elements. You have to learn how to play dynamically, and the learning curve is steep, but it's so worth it. It's not going to be a graphics extranvaganza, but it still pulls you into the sci-fi cyberpunk universe so very well. It's like Diablo 3 met Helldivers.

    Xenoblade Chronicles 3: 10/10

I wasn’t sure how I felt about it compared to chronicles 2 when I first started. I spent 100+ hours in the game and couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the characterizations on the main cast. Their banter was great. The story was definitely predictable, in certain spots. Still absolutely loved it. Chapter 5 had my wife, daughter and me all tearing up. The bit with the main cast locked up was probably the first time in a while I felt that attached to some new characters. Definitely recommend the game!

    Uncharted 3 remastered: 5/10

Basically it benefits from and suffers from the same issues as the last one - good story, bad play mechanics.

It loses another point because as much as the last game focused more on being a movie then being a video game, this one was much worse. For example there's one whole section that's dedicated to you just walking slowly through the desert. Seriously! You just hold the left stick forward the entire time and watch Drake just stumble along at a snails pace. That's the entire level. Yes it gives you the sense of isolation and of being lost but it could have absolutely just been a cut scene. The game does this several times.

The other issue is the threat spawning. Goons show up out of nowhere, all the time! No matter how much the story makes it clear that you left them in the dust miles back "boom" there they are back in front of you. I'll give you two examples without spoilers: I'm fighting in a large room and I've cleared the area where I'm taking cover and there are no entry areas behind me. Magically I got shot in the back by a goon who is behind me but clearly wasn't there a second ago. Later in the game you leave a main villain on the other side of what is clearly an impassable chasm and make a run for it at full speed racing the only way out over quickly collapsing bridges and rooftops. Once you reach the other side there he is!! How did he get there??!!

I know, I know - why do I keep playing these games if I seem to hate them so much? LOL! For the same reason I play Assassins Creed games. Because I'm a sucker for the stories. They're really, really good stories. And yes I will be playing Uncharted 4 but I need to take a break from this series for a little while at least. :lol

Gotham Knights, I'd give it a solid 8/10

The game got unfairly review bombed prior to and after release and judged for what it wasn't (an Arkham game) rather than what it is.

I started playing netent slots with bitcoin and I even won some coins. It's fun and easy way to win some money while playing. These slots offer fixed bonuses, quick withdrawals, a wide selection of payment methods with good commission. Quite convy. Hope the lady luck will be on my side.

This was basically my experience with part 3 ( the only one I’ve played). The game is extremely rigid in terms of what you can and can’t do & it changes constantly depending on what the game wants you to do. I remember one area in particular, that was supposed to be a quiet scene with everyone looking for something. Suddenly running, jumping, shooting, etc had all been disabled. All I was allowed to do was walk & search to maintain the slower paced tone of the scene that the game wanted. And so many areas of the game feel like this.

The story, characters, & acting were all great. I had a great time with the movie aspect of it. But it’s supposed to be a game first & foremost.

I finished Bayonetta on the Switch. I'd say an easy 8/10.

It's an older game, for sure, and the port is pretty good at making it look like a modern game for the most part, as long as you didn't mind the smeared-glass look of things. That said, for an older game, the play experiences are pretty remarkable. Alt mode game play? Check. Vehicle game play? Check. First person gunnery game play, you go that too! Even a rescue-and carry stage!

Finally beat Radiant Silvergun for the Switch... methinks I'd give it a 9/10

Sure... while it may be a game from '98 (and ridonkulusly hard even on Very Easy, particularly certain bosses including the last boss (which looks a awful lot like Ultraman   ), it's a surefire blast to play. Also, hurray for free play :)  (extra continue after each hour of playing)

    River City Girls 2 - 8/10

I would rate this game higher, but the launch of the game was botched by performance issues on every system. But the combat, the new music, and the QOL changes make the game so much better than the first game, and I would easily rate the first game as an 8/10 game. But the issues prevent me from rating it higher even though I think the game is better. That said, seems like Wayforward is aware of the issues and they are working on a patch for the game.

    Persona 5 Royal 9/10
It fixes all of my issues with 4’s combat and dungeon design. The game oozes style. Definitely in my top 10 unique looking games list. Story is great but I like 4’s story and character more. My biggest issue with this game is its length. Before reaching the game’s bonus chapter I was at 100 hours. There was moments where you can tell they added stuff to make the 3rd semester combat moments longer where I just wanted the game to end. The 3rd semester’s story was fantastic but it just felt like you had to do some unneeded tedious running back and forth to get to the next part.

    Horizon Forbidden West 8/10

I played for about 118 hours and still didn’t finish many of the side quests. Overall, the game is great and there’s an overwhelming number of things to do. The combat is where the game really shines, since it basically forces you to play smart; even a small group of weaker enemy robots can decimate you if you’re not careful. You need to analyze their weaknesses and take the appropriate approach. Taking out a group of enemies using intelligence and pinpoint accuracy is EXTREMELY satisfying.

The story is not as strong as its predecessor. It starts out great then loses steam. The antagonists are built up well but their fates in the endgame are too quick and anticlimactic. And there’s a little too much real-world politics shoehorned in, which was really annoying and took me out of the game world. Can’t get any more specific without violating board rules, but this is a game about human tribes trying to survive after an apocalyptic event, so leave current politics OUT OF IT, no matter what side of the fence it is.

Disco Elysium (The Final Cut) - 10/10

I think this is my fourth time playing this game to completion, and though I just finished it yesterday, I could honestly start it up again right now and enjoy a fifth playthrough. I absolutely adore the setting, the writing, the characters, the art, and especially the thought/personality mechanics. It's such an ingenious and thought-provoking way to present not just an RPG character build, but the way the human brain functions in general. This game makes me feel simultaneously cosmically insignificant and existentially powerful, both woefully depressed and unshakably hopeful. The way the game portrays the tension between ideological conviction and real, human connection is utterly brilliant.

Still, I only wish The Final Cut had added more content - the vision quests are neat, but I always seem to miss them (in this playthrough, the communist quest was actually bugged and wouldn't start properly), and there's so much room in the game for additional quests and places to explore. That said, I don't think it necessarily needs more content to be a satisfying and complete game.

    Metroid Dread - 9/10

Personal beef with the game is the Experiment No. Z-57 and Raven Beak boss fights and area design (er, techno-facilities anyone? Some ancient ruins would be nice though)

    Last 4 games I beat

    this past week

1-Va11 HA11-A 0/10 (Disliked the game so much I sold my Switch copy the next day)

2-House Of The Dead (Arcade) 8/10 Classic arcade and I’m thankful to own it (still need to beat the switch remake)

3-Panzer Dragoon (Switch) 7.5/10 VERY short but fun.

4-Donut County (Switch) 8/10 Very short game, but fun and the art style is calming. I plan to show my kids this someday as it’s great for kids or adults.
