Hey guys, my wife and I are going to Las Vegas next week for a little fun and excitement.

I just wanted to ask, anyone know any good shops that sell TFs in Las Vegas, aside from the usual Wal-Mart, Target, and TRU?

    Any info is tremendously appreciated.

nothing on the strip from the Stratosphere to the New York, New York.

If you're renting a car, there's an outlet mall near the airport. They have a KayBee in there I believe. I don't know of any specialty shops though.

That KB had a lot of the micromasters the last time I was there. Its not a bad place, but they didn't have much of anything else.....

You know you've got issues when the first thing on your mind for a Las Vegas vacation is "Toy Shopping"...

Get in a cab and ask them to take you to "Chinatown". Not sure if that is the name of the district, but there is a whole Chinese mall there that has a bunch of stuff. I found a MIB Brainstorm and a bunch of Landcross guys, plus found a Mach kick there and a Super Deformed G2 Megatron model kit. Mind you, this was 5 years ago.

That's on Spring Mountain Rd on the west side of town... Other side of Hwy 15=West side of town... :thumb

There's one store in there that had SOME stuff, but not a whole lot... More anime and manga than anything else...

'Course this was back when I was in college from '97-'01 so things might've changed since then...

Other than that, I dont' recall any outstanding stand alone toy stores in the four years that I lived there...

it's funny because it's true. I was just there in late December and no matter where I went, I kept an eye open for TFs.

Was there last year for a buddy's wedding and since he and my fellow groomsman are also toy collectors we went on a toy hunt. Found 1 small store that had zero TF's. Lots of Star Wars and Hot Wheels though...wish we had looked for Chinatown :(

Heh, I forgot to mention WHERE that store was in the Chinatown Mall...

It's basically split into two parts... The left side has Ranch 99... The right side is where the store is... So go to the far right and go into the glass doors where you'll see lots of stores on the ground floor... The ground floor is circular and the store is in the back...

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll probably want to check out Chinatown regardless, so I'll look for the toy shop while I'm there.

And if you think I have issues, my wife is already wondering how she's gonna survive on our vacation, she has to go for 5 days with out playing World of Warcraft ^_^

There are three Rogue Toys shops that have some good things. One is on Las Vegas Blvd 10 minutes from the strip. There is also Toy Shack in the Fremont Street Experience, which usually has some cool stuff but is ridiculously expensive. It's owned by the toy guy from Pawn Stars. There's also a store on the edge of Henderson called Brad's Toys and Collectibles that always has some transformers. All of these places have vintage, out of print and an MP or two.

I wish I saw this thread earlier, as it would have occurred to me to look for TFs when I was in Vegas two weeks ago.

Wow, a 10 year resurrection, that is definitely impressive!

I was out in Vegas for awhile, and did not find any toy shops. I actually went to the Ranch 99, but didn't see the toy store. This was awhile back though, close to 15 years ago. There are some good comic stores though, when I'm in a new town and interested in toys I often look up the local comic shops and start there.

Lol I just noticed that I only bothered to check the post above mine. Never even occurred to me to look above that. Sorry for the zombie response!
