At what store I can buy a laptop battery?

Also, how do I replace the laptop battery?

Do I just take the battery out and put the new battery in?

Oh another thing, there's an "X" on the laptop battery and the plug isn't charging either since its at 38% remaining.

What exactly does that mean, never saw that before.

    Thanks

This all entirely depends on what laptop you have friend.

I'm not sure since I'm not an American. But it should be widely available even for different brands.

It's very simple. Usually there's either one or two locks holding the battery in place, just push it to the opposite side and just slide the battery out. Again, this differs with different brands but it's usually the same concept.

Well duh. Just remember to turn the laptop off first.

It means that your battery's gonna die.

eBay is where I usually get my replacement batteries from. Cheaper than the "brand" names, and the ones I have bought have worked fine.

This. Between different builders for PC's and different laptop models, there is no single answer for any of your questions unless you can give us more information. What brand is it, specific model number, and since you're asking about something that appears to be program wise, the operating system.

Alternatively, you could just take it to a computer repair shop and ask them if you don't know how to find that information (although most of it can be found on the case of any laptop, really)

Thank you for directly pointing out my ignorance about laptops since, I usually use desktops.

    However the information is noted.
