I have no idea if this has already been discussed, but has anyone else noticed that there are no Hot Rod toys announced so far? I guess he won't play that big of a part in the film?
Probably saving him to spice up the latter waves. It is probably the same mold as BB, so it would be silly for Hasbro to create a wave with two figures sharing the same mold. And I assume BB is in wave one.
There has been a die cast replica car for him set to be released and keep in mind that we have ONLY SEEN less than half the toy line so far. I mean we have not gotten any toys for Cogman yet either. And or Hooligan, Mohawk or Onslaught.
I don't care when he comes out. I'm just worried that with what they did for Barricade and the Legion figures, I'm hoping he's actually a Centenario.
Jada Toys got the license to make Hot Rod Centenario die-cast cars so there's a good chance we'll get a transforming Lambo Hot Rod from Hasbro. First Look at Jada Toys' Die Cast TLK Hot Rod and Optimus Prime
Those jada toy metal cars are the next best thing to hot wheels and they look good...their tempting me to buy these!
Hot Rod better get a deluxe, just hoping it's not a Lockdown re-tool since they both transform into a Lamborghini. HR seems to be an important character because he is the one that brings Vivian to Cade, Cogman, Burton. Never had much interest in HR figs but now I've got Combiner Wars Rodimus and Titan Returns HR in my collection. Looking forward to adding the movie version.
Yeah, that and the fact they got the licence for Lockdown makes me confident he'll have a licensed toy. Not sure why there's no licensing for Barricade, he's previous deluxes all were. The only retools on the line so far are for returning characters so I doubt they'll do that. Even the new Bumblebee is a completely new mould.
The new BB is in wave 3 or 4. But Hot Rod looks way to different from BB to be a remould unless it's gonna be a Highbrow to Scourge kinda remould from TR
If Lamborghini can give EA permission to use the car in Real Racing 3(it's the same model btw), then there should be a Hot Rod figure.
I'm more worried about this so called "French accent" he's going to have... don't care about the toys.
It's because in the 1st and 3rd movie, he was a Saleen s281, a car simply made to look like a Mustang, this time around he's a "regular" ol' Mustang. Ford probably didn't like their car being a bad guy. Had they went with Saleen's 2017 302 Mustang and this probably wouldn't have been a problem.
