I made this to use as reference for an upcoming project but is it something that folks would like to see put up on shapeways?

 

I honestly wouldn't see much point in putting it up. Heads can be found in any kit. But that's just me

 

yeah, I figured maybe for those interested in having a blank so they could put their own custom faces on there or color other than gray since WSF takes dye so well.

 

My thinking is, instead of a blank head, you can play around and introduce physical features to differentiate the heads. A skull like face for bludgeon, for instance, with teeth and eyeholes. Or a proper waspinator with bug eyes, etc

 

I am planning on doing custom helmets so that's why I made this model to start with. I just figured I'd ask if anyone was interested in it since I had it done.

I like the skull face idea, though the bug face would make it impossible to get other helmets on over top, I would think.

I'll continue to think about it. In the mean time work goes on as I model my first helmet.

That'd be very handy for bots like the Tripredacus trio who have uniquely colored heads.

 

Or for using markers to color the head like the dude in your siggy  

 

How about a Sunstreaker helmet? I'm sure that's on a lot of wishlists.

Good idea with this though - I have had to purchase a few Skywarps for the yellow eyes to make Breakdown and Motormaster, as I have coloured the gray faces, and red eyes don't work well with their face colour schemes.

 

A buddy of mine over on Seibertron is working on facial decals so between the two of us, we should have you covered

Once I'm done with Omega, next is a special Devastator kit burning in my brain then it's unique helmets for the upcoming combiners as well as some other upgrade parts for them.

After that though, I'll be looking for more ideas so thanks!
