This is my first ever review here on these boards, so go easy on me  

This is my pictorial review on the Kre-o Micro Changers Combiners Decepticon Bruticus

Assembly was quite easy as the instructions were sufficient for me. After assembling them into vehicle mode, I feel that Onslaught's vehicle mode was the best amongst the four kreons. This is followed by Swindle, Brawl and Vortex. Onslaught's vehicle mode looks relatively the most complicated amongst the 4 of them. Nice truck mode but it involves the most parts forming



Swindle's vehicle mode: love the G1 colors on him, looks cool as well



Brawl's vehicle mode: Not as good as the previous two, but its colors still stands out for me.



Vortex's vehicle mode: the weakest of the 4 as it essentially just the kreon lying flat on his face.



Kreon Modes: Love the colors as its very G1 for me! Although I feel that Swindle should have been given a grin rather than the grim face he has now. If I were to rank the Kreons, my favourite would be Onslaught first, followed by Vortex, Swindle and finally Brawl.



Updated: Switched Brawl's face and Swindle's face, looks much more appropriate now for me  


Now Brawl looks more grumpy  


Combined Mode: In the combined mode, Vortex and Onslaught's chests were used to form Bruticus' chest. Although Onslaught's head is officially the head for Bruticus, I changed it to Vortex's head as it looked more G1 Bruticus for me   Love the combined mode!



Its' height relative to other toys


The gripe I have with this set:
- the parts where the kreons chest and the legs do not grip well enough and come off easily.
- there are the stress marks at the wrists, which is consistent with the other kreons I have.
- only 1 kreon red base brick was given, instead of the 4 kreon red base bricks for each of the kreons  

Overall, I enjoyed building this set. Hopefully you guys would have felt my enjoyment as well. Thank you for reading this!

Are these sets by the lego, or TF? I have not seen one yet.

Thanks! It's by Hasbro as well. In combined mode, his height is about a Scout class (RTS Windcharger)

Are there any leftover parts in Bruticus mode?
Will you be getting Blast Off as well?

 

I love him! Can you put a comparison pic of him with deluxe or voyager from either prime or generations line?

Blast-Off is getting sold as one of the blind-packs. They're doing the same with the other combiners too (Rampage, Slingshot and Hook are all single-packed).

Could you head-swap Swindle's and Brawl's faces to see if the expressions work better? I'd be okay with different mouths if the trade-off is that Swindle looks right.

 

Blast off is from the blind pack isn't it? Same with the last part of Devastator and Predaking

 

so you do have to remove legs and arms from the bodies to combine...yep time to rebuild that, cuz that worries me in terms of breakage

 

Looking forward to this guy most of all of the Kreon Combiners. The Combaticons are simply a far more interesting unit that the Green Team, the Orange Team, and the White Team. Not liking how you have to pop off the arms and legs, though.

Swindle REALLY should have a grin...
Going to swap Brawl's face with a spare Skorpnok head.
And Kreons really need more faceplated helmets.

 

I wish they would include a unique head for the combined mode instead of reusing one from the other bots.

Thanks! Yep, there were quite a few leftover parts in Bruticus mode. Hoping to get Blast Off and try some modifications to see if all 5 could be used together

Are these showing up yet? Online estimates I've seen are for January.

I've got all 4 sets on order, but I don't really care about the combined modes. I just want all the little Kreons for my collection. I've already got all of the next wave of singles including the 5th member of each team.

I recently got all 4 combiner sets too.

Here's some pics of Blastoff with the gang, and I tried to combine them as best I could, changing Vortex's blades position too. I ended up having to use one unused piece from Superion to do this.

Nope, I got one first to see how's the quality like first. Will be getting more when TRU offers more discount first
