I sort of gave up on MMOs after City of Villains, but if this is true I can see myself devoting massive amounts of time to it. Hopefully Bioware will be able to innovate the gameplay beyond "Go over to this place, kill everything then return to me" type of level grind. Oh, I forgot the "Go over to this place, kill everything, pick up object X, then return to me" variation on the type.
I don't know man, I don't think if I can get into an MMO ever again. The thing is I don't like HAVING to party up with other people. Or having that pressure of keeping my level up with the people that I do like playing with.
This is disappointing. What about KotOR 3??! I dont want to have to play KotOR online with other people, and I dont see how they can make a story as good as KotOR 1 in a mmo setting. That and having to pay subscription fee makes this game an instant PASS for me.... and this is sad because KorOR is one of my favorites.
This... I don't have time for that shit anymore. They need to make a working/dating/married man's MMOR, where soloing is ok, but partying is easier to do because you don't have to keep up with everyone. I'm hoping that DC game is like that since it's more action oriented.
The DC MMO is being published by Sony, so don't expect it to be "casual friendly", as none of their games really have been for the casual player, except maybe the first couple of years of Star Wars Galaxies.
I liked SWG because it took place in my favorate era and then the Space Expansion made everything better. I aint saying that SWG is a great game overall, but the space expansion was almost everything I could hope for. I only say almost because I start getting picky. If KOTOR mmo features an option to pilot space ships, I'm all up for that then! Aint Star Wars if it doesnt have space ships.
