I remember using 91% isopropyl alcohol to remove the black paint from SS null rays and nose cone. It does come off....but you really have to work it through as it won’t come off as easy. Spot test it on a small area to determined how much work will be involved to do the whole figure.

I wouldn't use nail polish remover.

But 91% alcohol USUALLY does the trick with some elbow grease. I've removed the "digital camo" from two Hasbro Acid Storms by soaking in 91% alcohol and rubbing with qtips and an old rag. Should work on just small tampos just fine but be careful not to touch the tampos you don't want removed of course. It'll take some work but worth it:

The plastic pieces that attach the legs to the torso are EXTREMELY fragile on the KBB. Those pieces are thin and the plastic will not stand up to repeated movements.

I had the KBB Thundercracker and I had heard about this problem so I decided to replace those parts with the gray TRU Thundercracker pieces. Upon removing the screw from one side, the plastic failed and the hole was stripped. The other side actually came apart in my hands BEFORE I removed the screw.

The rest of the KBB legs seem to be fairly sturdy though.

Haven't seen this talked about yet.
Takara Tomy boxed KO MP11SW. Everywhere on eBay. As usual they're using a bunch of mixmatched photos. Doesn't look like many of the Western websites have bothered to list it.

Thanks! Yeah, I've done two like this. Removed the digital camo and other tampos then added some of the MP-11 Starscream dry rub set decals (wings stripes for example). Ended up selling both when I replaced my original 3 with the Maketoys versions.

Might be easier to just pick up the YM non-panel lined version. Either that or KBB Starscream.

If I recall this has been out for at least a year or so now following the boxed KOs for MP-11 Starscream and MP-11T Thundercracker. These Takara boxed KOs are the lowest quality KO MP seekers. Not even worth the $50.

I wasn't aware of any dry rub decals for the wing strips. Where did you get them from?

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'm a big MP-11 fan but somehow I missed hearing about this.

Does anyone know where to get spare display stands? Preferably cheaper than the ones on ebay.
