If there's glue on the panels that hid the screws, you're screwed. You're better off replacing the entire nose assembly from a junker. Which means, taking out that very long pin to start with.

Does anyone know if there's an easy way to get a couple of the right-boob rotor/fan pieces?
Both my Starscream and Thundercracker are missing theirs, so you can see straight through to the missile pods.

I have them posed in a way that it's not noticeble, but I'd prefer to have them whole. :)

I-Gear ones, yes...the official and the new YMs....no. They use impossible to remove glue.

It doesn’t have any glue behind it,so I was able to get it,but believe me,it scared the crap out of me when the piece went flying out!
I also added some pics of the nosecone interior, just in case somebody needs them for future reference.

I'm glad it popped out. Photobucket was a PITA so I had to move all my photos. But since it was I-Gear, you could have removed the panels that hid the screws. That would have made it much easier for you.

Luckily, I still have those photos:

Siiiigh, so are there any tips on reattaching the top tail fins?

Opened my hasbro sunstorm after all this time and one was snapped in half and the other is bent. :/

I think that someone mentioned about using model glue (don't use superglue as it will melt the plastic).

Edit: Sifted through the back pages.. See page #369, post #7379 (even though this is a KO Seeker and Cone Head thread). I'm sure that this will also work with the official ones as well.

I don't think you're going to have the same luck. If I'm not mistaken, YM used the impossible to remove glue on those panels too. At the very least, their Skywarp did. You can check to see if you can remove them on your Ramjet. If they come out with ease (and I'm talking like with little to no effort) then they didn't use glue to keep those panels on there. If you're starting to struggle a bit in getting those panels off, stop. They used glue. You keep going, and you're going to possibly mess up your Ramjet.

Oh I don't need to remove the panels at all. The nose cone area on mine are just fine. It's just that I just noticed the panels and the do in fact appear to be tightly applied with glue.

Has anyone got the newer (released Q4 2017 I think) version of YM Skywarp with the added paint details ('No Step' etc)? If so what do you think? Any other changes besides the no step and insignia details (i.e. to the build or to the main paint apps)? Any chance of a few photos? Cheers.

Based on the posts by Bots and Bits on FB a couple months back, no they (SW and TC) should be the same except for those detailing paint apps.

I too am considering a YM Skywarp to replace my old MP-03 Hasbro version with the Yellow eyes.

But I remain uncommitted at present because I am waiting to see if Maketoys will do a Skywarp coloured Meteor.

Of course, then there is the concern about a Maketoys version aesthetically clashing with the MP-11 based designs... more so than the MP-03 version does.

I think that of my current options, even with the tiny flecs and detailing on the YM reissue, the YesModel versions may be the versions to fulfill my Dirge needs, as well as a replacement for my KBB Thrust and my Hasbro Skywarp.

Considering that these designs were primarily developed by Takara Tony, sometimes I wonder if Hasbro has been the biggest KO company in the world!?!
