Guys after mid transformed mine once months ago I still fear a bit to transform him. Do you think I should worry or he handles it fine?

Idk. I'm afraid of the quality of the plastic. It really looks light (I'm not saying it is weak, I just fear it bcs of being so light). And I broke his arm once, so I got some trauma lol. But I forced it a lot until that broke, so it means at least the tough plastic is strong enough   btw I broke it trying to flex the shoulder joint which I didn't know it doesn't move backwards at this figure. I don't know how emgo does it at his, bcs PVP's also doesn't move the shoulder backwards

 

Ohh right. Yeah I saw your post awhile back. Emgo stated that he modified his so that it could swing the shoulders back. Watch the video again, he says he trimmed the shoulder joint a bit.

It's really not as bad as it looks or feels. I've transformed this guy quite a few times and it feels good (imo). Try it once again! Might be different this time!

 

A bit of dark purple on the edges of the wings would look better. To be honest, the G1 color palette doesn't look great on the overly complex Bay's designs.

 

Agreed. I’ve rarely seen a G1 colored moviebot that actually looked good.

 

I know it's 2 months old but I gotta ask: why? I never needed to unscrew it to change faces on mine

 

It's the cheek spikes. You can swap the face plates without disassembling, but if you want the full, correct conversion between masked and unmasked you have to unscrew it.

They are on square pegs, so they can't rotate, you have to take the horns off, and then pull these off and then put them on the opposite sides of where they sat.

 

Oh less bad so mine doesn't have a problem

I just wonder why the MFs didn't make these cheeks part of the removable mouth. It'd make it way easier and more pratical

 

Finally decided to not be lazy and find some batteries for this badass. I also tightened up the one wrist that was loose and shaved down the shield peg which helped a lot.

 

Just got my copy. Beautiful figure. Does anyone know of a close match for the silver they used to paint him? I want to get rid of the 'scar'

 

Does this guy feel heftier than dragoon?

 

Everyone who owns both has said this one one lighter. I don't even own the original dragoon but this guy does feel lighter than expected.

 

What Octo said. The original was light to begin with (lots of hollow pieces to make room for all the things that need to hide in robot or vehicle mode). I have both and find that the KO's size and weigh "feels" better than UT's.

 

I can't say much for Dragoon but Sky breaker's plastic feels a bit soft. When i was shaving off plastic on my Sky breaker's helmet horns and arms it just cut through like butter LOL but it's very durable.

If you've handled anything by Black mamba it's the same soft (but durable) plastic

 

This plastic softer than before weirdly. Like rotating the waist without moving the hip skirts out of the way caused teeth marks in the plastic. It basically chewed itself.

 

Good;contemplating on picking this guy up in the future just cause dragoon kinda too tall, so if he’s a little heftier that’s a plus!
