It’s fine. The changes in material, articulation, and appearance do not worsen or unilaterally improve the figure over the original. It’s more like having a different figure, from a different company, than having a KO. None of the changes make it a worse toy, I will put it like that. They just made different choices.

 

This guy finally arrived a couple days ago! As much as I’d hoped he would come in with good joints, he was literally loose almost everywhere lol. Arms, biceps, hips, knees, he was a fiddly mess. I took my time and tightened all his joints and now he feels pretty perfect. His plastic does feel a bit lighter than Dragoon but it’s nothing bad. Love all the new details on him, but his new softer hip skirts are annoying since they’re pretty fiddly as well

Did the head mod, backwards butterfly joint mod, and shaved his right side to let the arm collapse inward more.

Also finished painting him up. Gave him a single cost of dark silver spray paint all around, and then gave him an ink wash. I’m honestly really happy with the results!

Here’s a comparison with my dragoon I customized in 2020, I was pretty proud of myself since Dragoon was my first major custom, but I think my results are better this time around!

Well I bit the bullet and bought him. I really wanna remove the red 'scar' from his face or paint over it though.

I'm going to commit and get this 4th party figure! However, where are you guys getting em for the lowest price? 

 

Got mine in earlier and it is pretty good overall! I had to tighten some joints, mainly the wrists and the shoulders, but it wasn't a huge deal.

 

Man i really love the red accents you gave him. Looks waaay more evil now

 

Appreciate it, was trying to use 3A’s coloring as a reference, there’s a surprising amount of red accents on that figure that’s weathered down. Also love your work on your dragoon!

 

Did the reversing sideburns thing for the unmaskes look. Really improves the head imho.

 

Hmmmm after reading some comments I prefer to stay away from this KO lol. Loose joints are what I hate the most about a figure.

 

The most bizarre thing is a lot of joints feel loose, but arent. like The shoulders seemed loose, but hold the arm, cannon, shield, and sword just find.

 

There he is, at last. First impressions: quality wise he's perfectly ok although original Dragoon feels more solid and is heavier. The joints are a bit too loose for my taste but he holds any pose or weapon just fine so I can't complain. Overall I can't help but think he's not that much better than UT but just a bit different and mainly just cheaper. Black Mamba painted and sculpted some new details here and there but on the other hand he lacks some - like on his sword or shoulder spikes... This is far from MPM Starscram and the KO comparison.
BUT he fixes my biggest gripe I had with Dragoon which is the bland and goofy face sculpt so that's a massive win. Sky Breaker has so much more character and presence despite being smaller (especially with LEDs turned on) Mask changing gimmick is stupidly convoluted tho   and I still haven't decided what to do with original Dragoon. When I pre-ordered Sky Breaker I was convinced that I'm gonna sell the previous figure but now I'm not so sure   Some pics:

Would anyone be able to take a tape measure to this guy? I’m looking at getting it but I fear it’s still way too big for my preferences.

 

I think this is where the lighter plastic comes in handy. His looser joints are fine cause his limbs and weapons weigh less.

 

A few ago I asked ShowZ for a replacment finger for my Skybreaker since mine came missing one. Got an email saying they have asked the factory many times but still haven't heard back from them.
Have any of you guys had similar experiences?
