My thoughts exactly, but the way that die-cast blue piece is located and it's length...would not allow it to sit flush even if the gun-butt was shorter. That part will overlap each-other instead of sitting flushed.

There'd be some modification needed, but as long as we're speculating about things that didn't happen why not go the whole way? :p

Assuming the electronics are OK, you'll just have to replace the batteries. The old batteries should be marked with a number that you can either buy or look up online to find an equivalent. HTH.

Not necessarily. Using small LEDs from cell phones you could actually have the gun light up along with the rear bumper lights. I've been watching a lot of scale model videos lately. Cell phone LEDs in this day and age some are the size of a rollerball inside of a ballpoint pen. If you put mirror behind or some type of reflective surface then the LED is just as bright as it's larger counterparts

    Ebay:
Does anyone here have the extra head with the long ears that they'd be willing to sell? I've found I prefer the look of that head but mine only came with the stock short ears version.

Just got this guy today. After removing the shoulder panel screws... this thing is actually fun to transform! Imagine that.

Here are the G1 big boys:

Had this guy in alt mode since before the pandemic. Just picked him up if the shelf and transformed him from half memory/half just figuring it out again. Shoulder plates still intact and he’s just an awesome toy.

I’m expecting Fire Scorpion to arrive in a week or so (with issues). So it’s nice to have a bot that can be messed with without worry. The transformation being intuitive makes it even more fun.

Sometimes cameras flip images like that, especially if you've switched from portrait to landscape or vice versa recently. Just open the picture in an image editor, rotate it a few times, and save the changes. That always clears it up for me.

Even if the pic is correct in the phone? I'll try it anyway. Thanks!

I needed to reinforce the tiny plastic pegs that connect the shoulder panels, so I just ran thin nails clear through and glued autobot symbols onto the exposed nail heads. The symbols (just stickers on styrene sheeting) spin so they are at least right-side up in truck mode.
