When I first bought the KO Predaking I was going to dye it black for a custom ShadowKing, but I looked all over the board and didn’t see a review on a KO Predaking, so I thought I would drop one on you all! HAhhahaha Before I dye it! KO Predaking’s over all appearance is exactly like the original G1 Predaking, as shown in these pics: With the overall appearance being exactly the same as G1 Predaking lets look at the differences of the individual Predacons. Razorclaw: First, the colors are different on the lions head but other than that the mold is the exact same. As far as plastic is concerned, it has the same width, and feel as the original G1 Pred, but the overall quality is very brittle. I broke Razorclaw’s front leg as soon as I tried to transform him. Here’s a pic for comparison. My main problem with the mold is the cheap usage of Plastic for the shoulder pins, as shown in this pic;
Divebomb: Same as G1 Divebomb, the mold is exactly the same as well as the color and stickers. The quality of the plastics on Divebomb are horrible, I broke off both the legs/arms (in Gestalt mode) twice trying to put the fist on! Rampage: Rampage’s mold is exactly the same as G1 Rampage; except for the shoulders being wider than the original G1 Rampage. KO Rampage’s colors are bright white on his head, shoulder and top legs in contrast to G1 Rampage’s orange. The quality of Rampage is good, and all the joints are solid and have not broken with the several times I have transformed him. The only problem with this mold, just like Razorclaws, is the plastic shoulder pins. Pic of Rampage’s Shoulder pins: Headstrong: A KO Headstrong mold is exactly the same as the G1 Headstrong, with no differences in the color or stickers. The quality of KO Headstrongs plastic is much like KO Divebomb as it is very brittle, the horns were broken before I got it out of the shipping box. The other problem with the mold is that the front legs don’t have a locking system, so when he is in the animal mode his front legs do not extend all the way. Pic of Headstrong front leg problem:
Tantrum: KO Tantrum mold is exactly the same as G1 Tantrum other than the color of the main body being white instead of the G1 Tantrum’s orange. As far as quality is concerned this is the most solid of all the KO Predacons with no main issues of breaking or being brittle. Here’s is a pic of the Gestalt Head: Overall the KO Predaking is a good buy for parts (Gestalt fist, and feet), customs, or repaints when you don’t want to fork over big $ for G1 or Reissue Predaking , but other than that the quality of the plastics limits the amount you can transform it.
I bought them off Ebay from this guy----> jimoinj <--(Ebay seller’s name) I have to warn you he/she shipped mine in gestalt mode with no packaging material, I'm lucky they arrived in half-way decent order.
It's an eight month old topic. The original poster has probably long since deleted the images, thinking they wouldn't be viewed anymore.
