Saw that and Sunson posted an image on the Axle as well.
Wonder if they will fix any of the um......issues with it.
hmmmm I might actually be interested in this
Forgive my ignorance but what were the issues? I loved the look of this set but never dug to deep on reading about it because its out of scale for my collection.
horrible looking tbh.
Groove just looks really bad.
Seems like Unique Toys Bruticus and Generation Toy Menasor are getting things right.
These guys need to take a cue from them.
Axle had fragile diecast.
definitely tempted by this. I skipped Guardia due to it's scale. Hopefully this will scale with UT Bruticus!
Anyone able to translate the blurb? Looks like some mention of Warbotron and oversizing?
So YES model continues their MT crusade... it's just weird that they go for the obscure headmasters and an overcomplicated combiner that didn't sell well yet NOBODY KOs FT stuff, which would sell tons more... mysteries of the 3P world...
Very interested in this. Almost got Guardia when it came out but just thought MT's combiners are abit small.
Hope the OS set is comparable to GT and TFM combiners.
Probably because the market price for Maketoys products is generally higher than fanstoys? And so if that's the case, ko's of Maketoys figures would offer a much more attractiven price difference. That's my guess
Maybe GT / TFM Protectobots are around the corner... The same thing happened with Bruticus
Ahh wasn't there a photo of blades in alt mode, apparently by GT?
just had a look at pictures of guardia and forgot how bad it looks so will pass
If I had to guess (and it is only a guess), I'd say that somehow Yes Model were able to get their hands on these CAD designs, so they are running with it. FTs might be much harder to get a hold of.
Because modern KOs aren't reverse engineered, they are too refined for that. So that leaves it as either swiping CAD designs, or having someone sit there and make their own design from an existing product. And the latter would take almost as long as making a figure from scratch.
And I'd like to see their Hot Spot. The MT version as a large voyager, with all his "armour" add-ons has some serious shelf presence. If he was bigger than MP-10, that would be impressive.
Not gonna lie, this seriously has my attention. Absolutely love the aesthetic of these, and having them be a good size only makes them even more appealing.
Yeah, strange that. Makes me wonder if the rumors about FT being behind a lot of bullshit are true.
Damn it. Yes model doesn't oversize
I am not seeing the attraction to a Guardia oversized to Voyager limbs, but if that is what you want, enjoy.
