Ah, that helps me keep my decision based on just pictures before I even get the figure in hand. lol. We will see when it gets here.

The funny thing is I just got an update with the tracking number and the seller made sure to point out how big and heavy the package is again. lol

Personally I most likely won't do something like that. I actually like seeing all the parts that belong on the figure. But it's hard to say for sure until I get him in hand and can fiddle with him.

Again.. I'm so 100% fine with the figure as it is that I don't get the problem people have about the "backpack", and so he stays as is. Aside the "pants" and the sandals*, I don't bother with anything more as it's enough to have these two parts that needs to be set aside when separating him.

*which are the only true needed part as if this figure had ONE issue, it's the feet section, with Scrapper in foot mode holds with two stupid little pins instead of a much better latch or anything else that could have been done, resulting in mine having one of the two pins broken, the plastic being a type that doesn't glue well at all, and so the sandal holds the feet together perfectly.

From the pictures, I don't like the look of the "pants" compared to Longhauls natural look of the legs. I understand that there is a small added piece for stability that goes on the end of Longhaul's legs to help stabilize Devastator, so I will be using those, but unless there is some major issue, I won't be using the pants. The sandals, certainly. I understand that they make a big difference and they don't take anything away from his natural look. The shoulder pieces, we will see. I'm not totally sure what the point of those are but I'll experiment. Probably won't use the heads at all and probably will use the wrist extensions.

It's seriously large. If you had to ship it in the original box you'd likely be in for 50 usd.
Use the slippers for sure. The pants are basically a huge height extender. The shoulders relocate the combiner ports so they slide down instead of attaching from the back. Let's gravity keep them in place rather than friction. The original upgrade leg extenders don't work with the pants and use longhauls legs as the combiner attachment for mixmaster and scrapper. Also eliminates the backpack created by using the pants.

Funny enough it IS being shipped in the original box and surprisingly it was only $20. I specifically ordered the only one I could find that offered that because I wanted to make sure I didn't get a KO of the KO. lol

As for the mods: Definitely going to use the sandals. The pants, I doubt. I don't like how they look in the pictures, I like the extra detail of the figures and the pants are too bare compared to the rest, not to mention I'm not opposed to parts forming to a point but I don't want to have to do too much, and he's already huge. The shoulder pieces, that makes sense, letting gravity work instead of friction and they aren't that big. And since I won't be using the pants, the leg extenders are a must.

The shoulder plates move the mounting points of the arms which distributes weight better and gives a slightly wider width across the shoulders. I tried with and without it just to see and he balanced much better with them installed

Good to know, all the more reason to use them then. What does the replacement chest piece do?

It's bigger and is 1 piece instead of the folding wings on the original.

It looks molded like Constructors chest piece, it being one piece makes it more solid cuz it tabs to the front edges of the shoulder pieces to tie everything together for rigidity

But pretty accurately right? The individual constructicons are about the same size as MPs like Jazz and Bumblebee and such from what I read.

True, indivual bots are more or less the same size with mp leaders, slightly shorter than the likes of Optimus or Megatron.
