Hey man… I just want my combiners to match what I saw on TV as a kid. I remember Superion being the same height as Menasor when they locked arms as though they were in the WWF duking it out. I also remember Omega Supreme being roughly the same size as Devastator when they fought (Omega Supreme was a tad bit taller). How can planes be the same size as cars? Who knows… it makes no sense, but that’s where the crazy mass shifting comes into play.

What can I say? The heart wants what the heart wants.  

 

I believe the tflabs thigh extensions can be doubled up, they are specifically printed for L or R sides... lemmie double check when I get home.  

 

So one thing I've been wondering regarding the Jet Commander: What exactly is the way to get the G1 Superion forearm gun look? How do you wedge the gun into the arm?

I have found two separate sources mentioning this possibility: Benscollectables' video on the set, and a written review on toyboxsoapbox which claimed: "Want to fudge a version of [the forearm gun] here? Well congrats, you can!" But I cannot figure out a way to actually wedge it into the arm because neither source provided instructions on what exactly to do. I tried to follow the placement similar to how Ben did his video, but the gun wouldn't stay in place at all and would immediately slide down if I let go.

 

I mean, its not just car mode, its robot mode as well. This toy illustrates it fine: Aerialbots are way too big in comparison to Optimus.

Them's just the breaks. You can either have a combiner made of oversized components, or properly sized components who merge together in what size a combiner would be if not for mass shifting.

 

So the way I have mine is it is "loosely" posted on the tail wing of Fire Flight. It usually holds well enough if placed after he is posed. I don't know how Ben did it, but this is working for me.

 

I did it as Ben's described, just put the handle first, then connect the gun to the handle.

 

Thinking about getting this, tfsource have all the aerial bots but silver bolt whom I can’t find anyone. Damn.

TF Source still has the limbs, but you'll likely have to find Silver bolt used from eBay, Mercari, etc.
