Well. KO, Reissue or Third party are some of the products that some of us might stayed off (don't flame me 3P fans).

But i am sure no matter how an arse one is about being a purist, there are bound to be time when you either decided it is okay to buy some nice or out of productions ones or you accidently bought one and decide not to kill it with fire.

So was wondering who type of collectors we have more of here.

I don't even know what the original post was asking. Technically there is not even a question anywhere in that statement. Sorry, but is English his second language?

I prefer waffles, but flapjacks aren't that damn bad.

I think they're asking if there are more 3P collectors and doing it in the 3P section.

I think he's asking if you're willing to buy a KO to fill in a gap in your collection.

My think about waffles is that get all crunchy way too easily. You really have to pat attention while your cooking them otherwise you'll ruin them. Of course, burned pancakes aren't any fun either.

That's why I stick to steak and eggs. All protein and high cholesterol.

I respectfully disagree... Well depends on price and ankle tilts. And the whole steak and eggs and cholesterol talk... Let's not go off topic here. People been banned for less my, friend. You walk a dangerous line.

I would buy KO's all the time if they weren't so shitty.

I'm gonna try to make sense of this.

"Third party" doesn't mean KO, it means (usually) that some other company besides HasTak is making a toy in the likeness of a Transformers character (notice that "likeness" is in italics, because it's not an exact copy of that HasTak toy).

KO means knockoff. A blatant attempt to create a fake toy meant to completely duplicate the real toy. They're usually of shitty quality (but not always) because they tend to be made from new molds that were reverse-engineered from an original toy.

Reissue can mean one of two things. Official HasTak reissues are newer copies of older toys, but they're not KOs because the same company who made the original is making the reissue, using (possibly) the same mold. "Reissue" is also a buzzword used by unscrupulous eBay sellers to pretend that the KO they're selling is in fact an authentic reissue of the original toy when it in fact isn't.

I would never in a million years buy a KO of a toy that I could easily get the original from either on eBay or a seller here. However, there are some situations where I've bought KOs because it's impossible for me to get the real thing because of either scarcity or money (the Headmaster warriors and Browning KOs spring immediately to mind). Luckily for me, both of those aforementioned KOs are of surprisingly good quality.

I collect mostly G1 and Masterpiece, which ironically seem to be the toys that get knocked off the most ;)  As I said before, any KOs in my collection are ones of toys I simply cannot get unless HasTak reissues them.

I was a little hesitant with the MP KOs, but I love each and every one I've acquired. The only actual Masterpiece I have when it comes to the Sideswipe mold is G2 Swipe. Tigertracks, Red Alert, and Swipe are all KOs and wonderfully made. :)

There are more 3ps than ko's but only half as much as deserve the full amount of of the initial sum. Only half of the ko's are 3ps but all of the 3p's are actually ko's and they are not half as much as the 3p's themselves. The full amount are ko's but not all are 3ps. Only half are. But, all are 3ps. Clear enough?

I suspect the OP might be on a slight wind up... Hopefully...

On the topic of KO, I might have to venture into that world to obtain a masterpiece red alert. Does anyone know what the quality is like?
