    ... Yeah.

HasTak really needs to get their shit together.

My half-complaints to knock-offs being more effective per hit than authentic plastic crack have been abundant lately. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Being one of the weirdos who actually likes the original, I'd still buy this.

From the looks of it, this KO will have rubber tires just like KO MP Tracks.....sweet.

    Hasui-era quality of MPs
    KOs<Officials

    Post Hasui-era
    KOs >=Officials

There's gonna be some pissed off anti-KO fans when news of this release makes the rounds.

So much nicer than the original Hasbro version.
But why is prime's right ear missing?

    Per the OP's translated notes:
    • Right ear and left lower arm plate are missing in the prototype pics, due to the negligence of the blogger

Ah I was seeing this from my phone, and started on the 2nd page since it went to latest post when I clicked the link.
I need to remember to read before I post.

For any future new yet to be announced Takara MP molds I'm just going the KO route. I'll only buy official Takara MPs if I want a repaint or replacement of a Hasui-era mold.

A few more close shots were found on Legendary Toys / Weijiang’s blog (sorry, it is still that crippled prototype in color)

You'd think Takara would at least give MPM Prime rubber tires like they did MP10. Then again it was a different era. Takara cuts corners now and it shows.

As someone who doesn't own the original MPM-04, what are the differences between this guy and the original?

More paint, fixed tab issues, possible rubber tires, blacked out windows.

I'm an idiot, just read the first post. Thanks.

So these are the same guys that did KO MPM-03? How does this "collaboration" between Legendary Toys and Wei Jiang work? I didn't know Wei Jiang was involved in the KO MPM-03 as well, I'd thought that Legendary Toys was an independent company.

Also, here's my shot at translating the Chinese post by Legendary Toys in the first post: Sales for LT-01 far exceeded their expectations and they're very heartened. It's because of LT-01's success that they've decided to do LT-02 (also seems to imply that they'll be KO-ing the rest of the MPM line!). They're working on perfecting LT-02. Even though they haven't announced anything up to this point, progress on LT-02 has been very smooth.

The KO seems to be fully painted compared to the officials which is for the most part literally half-painted in the thighs and the arms, as in, they paint silver in the front but not the back.

Also the originals (mostly Hasbro's) have boatloads of QC issues of parts not tabbing properly resulting in a very uneven truck bonnet, roof hinges being misassembled, smokestack parts being unable to connect, to name a few. The KO is claiming to have all of those issues sorted out.

    Ninja'd.
