yeah it sold out last night, it was 31.70 for an MP soundblaster, crazy. I guess time will tell if it was legit. I think all of the orders shipped out.
Thnx,Im waiting to see KFC's version before i decide which one to get Ratobato arrived today and he is very nice .His thrusters didnt lineup properly so i shaved a lil bit of plastic and he is perfect now
Mine also had some black gunk on his snout. Like a little blob of glossy black paint, right? I was able to fix it by using an exacto knife blade, and 'very gently/carefully' scrape at the black stuff. It came right off after a while. Just don't use too much force, cuz you could make scratch marks on the purple face. Start off using hardly any force, and then gradually increase to see the results. Even if you end up leaving a little microscopic scratch mark, it'll still look better than the big black ugly blob.
I think somebody put a sticker on my box saying "deliver this as slowly as possible". Usually once my stuff hits Canada it sits in Toronto for two days. One day in customs, one day "in transit". The next day it's out for delivery. This package has been "in transit" for 3 days.
Same here on the soundblaster refund. Did you also get the email about $3 extra dollars if we agree with thei action and refuse the package. Unfortunately, all of my mail gets accepted automatically..
My Ratbat arrived today, looks perfect ! I'd never know it was a KO, paint is flawless, and both modes look incredible. What a deal for 20 bucks !
Catastrophic failure. Was showing somebody the KO Ratbat and the sucker just fell apart. I've just had a look, and here's why. Looks like the plastic quality isn't all that, so it allowed the screw to be overtightened, which stripped the screw thread which weakened the housing which eventually split the whole thing during a transformation. I've just now superglued it back together, so it 'should' hold, but really it kind of shows the KO quality vs Authentic quality divide.
Yes, I can tell that the KO's plastic is not as nice as the Takara one. I can tell in the wings joints and feel if it is not handled with care, they will break. The plastic is good, but not a ABS plastic I think. Hope your fix holds up, it should.
this has been happening to a lot of them. when I got mine I took it apart and super glued it before the threads got stripped. the small piece that comes off with the screw had a tab on the opposite end and a matching hole in the wing. i put glue around the tab hole then put it back together and screwed it down. i also had to glue the parts below the wings to the left and right of the feet because it separates a little when you bring the wings down. now it works great and i don't worry about it when i transform it anymore.
Just received it today and transformed it. No problems so far; one screw joint is a little loose, and I'll probably tighten it with nail polish. Maybe I just got lucky, but the quality feels pretty decent!
sorry to see. the ko producers did pretty well with the MP cars, but anything much smaller or larger seems to get tough for them.
My KO Ratbat was waiting for me in my post-Singapore mail pile. I've carefully transformed and he's darn near perfect. However, will probably not transform him again to avoid some of the issues others are having. $20 very well spent in my case!
>sigh< Bought November 4 Shipped november 6 Estimated arrival: november 19-december 9 Current status: still on route
mine seemed fine but based on this thread i took him apart and sure enough the pegs were whitened and starting to split, after 1 transformation. reinforced it with superglue in the same places mentioned previously in the thread and now he is rock solid.
