I keep smashing the "like" button, but it won't let me do it more than once!!
I have got to admit mines not all doom and gloom, the plastic like you said is if good quality and the paint is well done too. Hopefully I can tighten up the loose joints with a couple of goes with the floor polish, get that knee unlocked, possibly stick a bit of blue tack or something not so permanent behind the wheel arch/shoulder that wont lock in place then I'll be good to go for some nice photos for on here. Sorry bit more positive today Monday when he arrived I had a staff member walk out on me, sorry Hound think he took the brunt of my anger. Which I didn't mean to as he is one of my favourite characters/toys throughout the lines g1, generations, wfc etc
The shoulder fenders don't lock into anything as far as I can tell. They just sit up against the sides of his hood.
So if you see the first pic this wheel arch is locked into place somehow. The 2nd pic all this section is loose and swinging around ?
with his the left problem side the arm/shoulder locked into the wheel arch ok but the arch wont lock like a tab is broken I can not see?
Anyone else have this issue?
That's the butterfly joint for his arms, I'm not home to check but I think there is a screw under the hood you can tighten up.
Thanks yes there is that was the first thing I tryed. So it's meant to move like that ? It's a butterfly joint from that wheel arch? I didn't recall that on the reviews will look again now. But definitely tabbed in securely on his right side like the pic?
Bought mine from ebay seller chngr-470 for $61 shipped. I was pleasantly surprised how well this KO is built, it could almost be mistaken for the real thing (unlike my cheap Grapp-ferno KOs). The plastic feels very similar to Takara (my TT has been lucky enough to stay undamaged all this time). Other than the paint blemish on the thighs, the rest of the colors are spot on. The only issues are the folding jeep gun being pinned backwards and the ankle/ leg joints are kind of loose. The head lights are also casted differently from each other. The front car wheels are not so well pinned so they are a bit wobbly. The face sculpt is slightly different. Overall, it's good enough to replace my TT in the display and I'll pack up the real deal for safekeeping.
KO left, TT right
KO face and headlight
Someone months back suggested taking a magic rub eraser to the thighs to remove those spots. Might be worth a try
I used a white eraser (soft pencil eraser) and it took most of those marks right off with just gentle pressure. A magic eraser may also work but it'd be a bit more abrasive than a pencil eraser.
When they KO'd this guy they should have redone the face. It always amazes me how he doesn't look at all like G1 Hound from the toon.
Good to know. Thanks for clarifying
I really like this mould of Hound. I was of the mind that FT Willis was the defacto choice but having this in hand makes me like this one slightly better.
