No harm, if you wanna be that guy. Anyway, here are a couple of answers: -A few improvements on those parts, which can easily break on a official version. So, sounds to me, that maybe a better plastic quality and better tolerances. -A smoother transformation in the shoulder missile/rocket launcher. Anyway, don’t count on me, i’m not 100% sure about these improvements. These are just things, what i have learned from somewhere.
ShowZ did confirm that the "improved MP-47 KO" in the brown box is being produced by a different factory than MP-44 KO. So the suspicions about the "silver leg" MP-44 KO bumping the MP-47 Improved KO production run don't seem to be on target. Plus I think there any many fans excited for the MP-47 Hound Improved KO. Is that the same factory who makes the MP-44 KO Optimus Prime? -Different factory
Which is interesting, because several months ago they were asked the same question and gave the opposite answer.
This was posted on facebook yesterday by TF-Direct. That's the straight KO version. So ShowZ and the rest of the China Retailers shouldn't be far off from getting their stock as well.
I have preorders for both but I guess I'll end up keeping the straight ko and cancelling the preorder for the other.
Your image reads NB MP47. My assumption is that this would be a "no box" version, aka the "improved version" rather than the straight KO. I may be wrong if TF-Direct linked back to their "straight KO" version, but isn't it odd to use the NB designation? I've got my PO in for the "improved KO" although what little I've seen and heard about the "straight KO" makes that one sound perfectly acceptable.
.. NB stands for No Brand if i'm not mistaken. It's usually used on TF-Direct to designate KO's. Here's a link to their other NB KO's. BTW, I did order a couple KO's from there labeled as NB and they had a box.
The NB designation is what's used for all the straight KOs of TT figures that exist. Trust me, this is the straight KO version. TF-direct even links back to the straight KO version in their post. Keep in mind, 'Straight KO' does not mean it's a 1:1 copy with the exact same issues as the original. While early reports might have suggested as such. The overall reception had been positive. Now, this is very likely the post break/CNY batch so expectations should be checked at the door. I get it, you've got your pre-order in on the 'improved' version, so any news that doesn't involve the improved version is not ideal.
Makes perfect sense. I was really hoping that the "no box" version was coming, but "no brand" is nearly as good. If only I had gone with the "straight KO" PO instead of the "improved". Great news for those who did! Now I need to figure out why the "T" versions of figures are the "cartoon" rather than the "toy" version. When I see a re-issue of FT-29T Quietus my mind jumps to a "toy" deco rather than a "toon" deco. So many abbreviations to learn in order to figure out what is going on around here. OS, KO, NB, T, +, V2.0, V3.0
Received a refund from ShowZ for the improved KO. I guess that means they're not expecting to receive it. Put in an order for the reissue of the straight copy.
That's unfortunate. I'll expect a refund sometime later today as well. Let's hope the straight KO is still set to reissue at the end of the month.
But do we think Show.Z will offer any credit on the Straight KO? It looks like a $6 increase trying to get in late on the "straight" PO. It would have been nice if Show.Z had been able to ask us if we'd like to just switch our PO over and hold the same price. I'd even been looking at the "straight KO" PO at $64.99 or whatever it was a couple weeks ago before it got nudged up to $69.99.
I wouldn't expect anything like that. I agree it'd be nice, especially since most of us would've probably pre-ordered that one if we'd known the improved would get cancelled but ShowZ is already being generous with the way they honor pre-order prices so I wouldn't expect them to go that extra mile in this case.
