Got mine today and just transformed him.

Have to say I won't be doing that again, but when posed hes gorgeous to look at.

 

Mark me down as a "would recommend" as well.
He's solid, no loose floppy joints. The paint is fine in bot mode, a little disjointed in alt mode. But he looks the bomb. I have a very slightly crooked chest logo, but you really have to look closely to see it.

 

No worse than my official MP20, who also has a crooked Autobot insignia . Had him for over a year before I noticed it. Now I can't undee it.

 

I hate to say it but I really wish someone would KO MP-42 Cordon. I have a legit Takara but I want one for parts. I REALLY want the chromed weapons, shin plates and head so I can swap them out on my official MP-39 Sunstreaker.

 

I popped into the thread to ask if there was any news on a KO Cordon or KO red version of Sunstreaker. Guess not lol

I was happy with it, but did end up trading up to the official. The KO is great, but paint is on the level of color match as XtB Boost. It is fine, but had room for improvement. Yellow is a difficult pigment to work with.

Articulation and build were excellent.

@Auxilium_Vitae has my old one. I believe that he is happy with it.

 

any of you guys that got good copies have a solid joint to pick up from? heard the going rate is $55ish?

There are those who reported having solid copies. Not quite as solid as the official but pretty decent.
This KO would have been sweeter if it had rubber tires like the first run of KO MP Tracks, Roadrage, Wheeljack, and Badcube Steamroll & Recon.

I'm considering this because the official is a bit out of budget, how noticeable is the color difference between the yellows?

 

Since Wheeljack should have slicks, plastic tyres are ultimately fine for him. I only really prefer rubber if there is tread to be detailed.

Going rate on TaoBao is around US$40. You'll need to add shipping on top of that, which will depend on your location, and whether you bundle with other stuff. There are plenty of sellers there.

 

my version does. WJ is the tightest overall TT KO ive ever gotten.. super tight, no gaps in car mode either. downside was some bleeding/overspray in some of the green paint lines, so those lines arent crisp. if i were to come in with white to fix em, the thing would be flawless. well his little penis pistol has a tiny gap... but KO....

I don't understand why Takara refuses to use rubber (or rubber like) tires on their MPs outside of MP10 and MP22. Yes 3P MP carbots easily have them. I'm tempted to pick up a KO MP WJ just for this.

 

Mines the same, needed a second coat on the white stirpes on his chest and on the Lancia mark they put some more black on C and it looks like LANGIA.....Which I find a huge Irony....Ultimately I will use an eraser to remove it slowly.
