Material feels cheap but overall it's decent besides the tightness during transformation. Gun mode definitely looks superior.

For those super into the purple canon.. Why not just buy the modfans upgrade kit? It supposed to have Eng the purple canon, all English clips and back piece and that krezemek. I think it's around $20 shipped.

Or if u already have a megs, why not just use a purple sharpie and color the red led. Or better yet, replace the red led with a purple one. Purple LEDs on eBay are like $1 or 2 for 10 or 12 LEDs. Cant be that hard a job....

Less expensive doesn't automatically mean inferior quality. A lot of times the 4th party figures are less expensive because they don't have to spend the money on tooling the figures from scratch, they can simply reserve engineer the existing figure to keep manufacturing costs down. Granted, yes... some of the 4th party companies opt for cheap plastics. That doesn't appear to be the case with IT. They, as you pointed out, have even ADDED additional die cast parts.

 

I wanna see how difficult it will be to open up the canon when I get my IT Megs to replace the led. Hopefully it won't be awful.

I ordered the Magten and IT versions. I have the official. Will do a detailed inspection between the 3. If Magten's and IT's quality is there, I'll sell off the official.

Just be very careful dude, you want to remove as much as posible from the sprue marks without damaging the paint.

 

To be honest, considering it’s behind the chest panel, they could easily just hide it with the chest plate and simply ignore it .....

You know, if the color is the only thing that bugs you, it’d probably be easiest to just get a blue gel light filter, cut out a small circle, and stick it in front of the red LED to make it purple. Gels can be found cheap online, like this pack of assorted colors... ttp://a.co/hxyKMlY
