I dunno, TF-Direct liked my comment on facebook about hoping the price was around or under $50... so maybe it's like a game of The Price Is Right and I was closest without going over Seriously though, $75 is fucking insane. Grapple doesn't mean THAT much to my collection if it turns out that $75 is the actual price. Then again, maybe the Chinese E-tailers will offer him for $55 or less after a few months.
To be fair under $100 ($75 US) is pretty broad so at best it's an indicator that it's not above that. That's my read. Supply and demand will probably mean pricing will go down after not as many pick this up if pricing starts too high. Just wondering has the Takara Soundwave gone down in price? I feel it has but haven't really stayed across it
I don't understand why 75 is so outrageous, there are high quality. I have a KO Ironhide and an official Ratchet and I can't tell the difference. Much better than paying retail for the official.
Because I got my KO Ratchet and Ironhide for close to a third of the official Takara retail, and yet $75 for KO Inferno and/or Grapple doesn't even clock in at half the retail price of the officials.
Grapple has a lot of different pieces as compared to Inferno, so I think that does some justification for the higher price. They aren't like a headswap like the MP-12 and (mostly) the MP-17 mold.
Nice, finally.. I really want Grapple but Inferno is always a good start !! I think the price is fair though a little steep. But fair overall.
Doesn't this have pretty much the same variables? Firstly Shockwave has had 3 runs of knock off's - This is just the first run of this. There's likely to be multiple runs of this, just like with all KO's ...also he had 3rd party versions which had massive price drops - we've had 2 x 3P versions plus a third on hold for Inferno, and the prices of both MT's and MMC's have dropped very dramatically. ...and plenty of people thought the Fans Toys version was better then Takara's - plenty of people are unhappy with Takara's super toon look and prefer one of the three other options. This Inferno KO has almost exactly the same circumstance as Shockwave? There's even a similar level of angst over the official not meeting people expectations (wrong colour, minimal details vs toon direction, minimal details) We have a similarly complex bot, with a butt load of extra's (even more on Inferno tbh), we have multiple alternatives to the official at comparable process... I would honestly expect the Infernno KO to replicate the Shockwave KO path almost exact;y.
I doubt it'll be $75. That's just too much. $45 in China excluding shipping even seems a but high. I'd be expecting $50 shipped from China when compared to the regular car bots that makes sense to me. I'll probably see if I can add the KO inferno grapples etc. To my Rub deals once they come out.
