ah. you are right, I guess it is a KO. the box even says Takasa Tony. :lol  whoops!

    oh well.

Well... he's damn nice. all things considering. the toy had me totally fooled. I see nothing at all on it to indicate it's a KO other than Rubber Tires. :D

hey @ChromeMagnus do you happen to still have the KO box to your KO MP road rage?

I'm seriously starting to think that TF-Direct messed up back in june last year and sent my the official MP road rage when I actually ordered and paid for the KO.

Literally nothing on my "KO" Road Rage's box indicated at all that it's a KO.

has official Takara japanese chicken scratch all over the box. officially licensed etc.

um... only other thing I notice on my supposed KO I bought last june is: my autobot logos look normal, no missing forehead upside down center triangle. like I've seen on all other KO's, nor are my tires Rubber. nor did mine come with the flight stand.

Are you sure they're rubber and not pvc? Pvc can also be pretty soft. I'm asking because Rocketpuncharmy said in his review that the KO had Pvc tires.

It's rubber, no doubt about it. It's kinda squishy and can bounce some in car mode. You can even dig your fingernail into it. I have soft pvc on a lot of my figma/revoltech figures and that stuff feels more like the flexible plastic from shapeways and usually has a more matte than smooth finish.

My KO tracks sadly came with a really fucked up paint blemish on his chest, but I honestly don't care enough about the character to bother replacing it.

I dont have a tracks, I have a RoadRage KO. The tires are defo rubber on mine. If I get the chance to go to the house I have my figures ill post a pic for you. You can see her though in the (shitty) pic I have posted some posts back. The boxes as far as I can tell are identical. Except the tires the give away is the filed forehead symbol and usually the chest doesnt tab, but you can fix that in like 5 mins. Mine also required some filling on the back slots because they were super tight.

the case of my mysterious "KO" Road Rage continues...

So, the majority KO Facts seem to be:

    -Rubber Tires
    -Flight Stand
-missing center triangle on all Autobot Logos
    -floating Head Syndrome
-unable to peg to the body backpack due to pegs being thicker than the peg holes.
-Hood Sits perfectly Flush in Alt modes
-feet have issue pegging in properly in bot mode

My KO Facts are: Purchased mine june 2017

    -No Rubber Tires
    -No Flight Stand
-No Missing Triangle on all Autobot Logos
-Floating Head syndrome (it does sit against the backpack hinge okay though, as seen in attached photos below)
-able to peg the body to backpack with no issues.
-Hood Sits perfectly Flush in Alt modes
-Feet peg in properly in bot mode

Hmmm curious. So is mine a fluke KO? or... could it infact be the real deal and TF-Direct accidentally mailed it to me and charged me the KO Price?

Dang if even THEY couldn't tell which was which, that's pretty crazy if you think about it.

mine also came with the piece of paper in the photo attached instead of the flight stand.

There's also the possibility that it's a factory reject, which is the theory for a lot of the "KO" MPs that first came out.

strange that it would be a factory reject as there's literally nothing that I can visibly see wrong with mine. I mean the waist hinge is sorta loosey goosey I guess. :lol

    Let the mystery continue. :popcorn

Yeah they slipped you a KO my friend. But hey you still came out on top. I can personally attest to the fact that not only are rubber tires included, KO Tracks has much better quality overall than the official version.

Also the following MPs have rubber tires:
-HasTak MP10/Masterpiece Prime and all of its repaints and KOs.
    -MP-22 and MP-31.

The rubber tires on my KO Road Rage can definitely be pulled off the rims. I'll send a photo when I get the chance. And yes MY KO RR included a clear Takara flight stand.

I'll check the box for you once I get a chance. It is apparent that TFSource sent you a KO. While it likely has better quality than the official version, they charged you the higher price of the official. I'm not sure how much luck you may have at this point depending on when you bought it but I would at least ask them about a partial refund or store credit.

Yes sir, they're rubber or at the very least rubber-like material. They're not plastic at all.

There is no floating head, the head doesnt attach on the official as well.
Mine (KO) had only the chest tab issue and some spilling of the red paint. Everything else is tight and pegs nicely.

As you can see my KO box says Takara instead of Takasa. I got this from baba a year or two ago.

    Thanks so much bro.

The more I look at mine the more I'm starting to feel like she may not actually be a KO and that TF-Direct goofed.

and if that is indeed the case, then to me the TFsource KO Tracks purchase and my TF-Direct Roadrage purchase balances out. :)

    No problem.
KFC also makes a nice set of matching fully articulated hands.

The only KFC hands I ever purchased were for MP Star Saber but that's because they came with other things for it. :)

and that's one of those rabbit holes I don't want to get caught in. not just yet.. :D
